It seems as if the killer(s) are taunting Wexford, flowers are being left, and the body count seems to be increasing.
Perhaps not as good as good as the opening episode, but still very watchable, and a solid continuation. I'm struggling to see why a colleague's death isn't being treated more seriously, they're all so matter of fact about it, it's like as if nobody seems to care somehow.
Normally it's Mike that's the grumpy one, here though it's Reg for a change, he's upset by all manner of things, but Gus more than anything, he's still the most irritating character in a Ruth Rendell, what does Sheila see in him!
It's hard not the be distracted by Jonathan Hogarth's horrendous ponytail.
Solid, if unremarkable, 7/10.
