  Sylar : You wanna know something weird? Every time you pick that thing up I think you're gonna hit me with it really hard.

  Peter Petrelli : [chuckles]  That *is* weird, because every time I pick it up I feel like I'm gonna hit you with it too - really hard.

  Sylar : Why?

  Peter Petrelli : Because you are who you are. I wish I could accept your apologies, but if I f-forgive you, then I'm not doing right by him.

  Sylar : Nathan... If you let go of your anger, you're afraid you'll lose him forever? So you've held on to it this entire time?

  Peter Petrelli : I feel it slipping away, but... then I look at you, and I see you killing him. You took my brother away from me.

• Sylar : [on Emma]  It's time to face reality, Peter, that girl is gone, and if she was meant to kill thousands, they're dead too. Everybody's dead except us.

  Peter Petrelli : The only thing that's *real* is us.

• Sylar : We've been here for I don't know how many years. Together. I've changed, I've repented. I'm never gonna hurt anyone ever again. And all this time, you were afraid to let me out.

  [Peter keeps hammering against the wall] 

  Sylar : Peter!

  [Peter pauses in his activity] 

  Sylar : I'm not that guy anymore, Peter, you know that.

  Peter Petrelli : I know. I know you're not.

  [he resumes, hitting another blow against the wall; the wall cracks]

  Sylar : How long has it been, really?

  Peter Petrelli : [checks his watch]  Half a day, maybe.

  Sylar : Feels like we were in there for years.

  Peter Petrelli : Yeah.

  Sylar : Does that make it any less real?
