Although not flawless, a bit confusing as to the storyline/intent, I liked this film piece enough to view it twice. I love Poe, and found it true to the mood and tone of Poe's literary work. I especially love the musical score which enhanced the movement of the film. As a visual poem it worked for me, but as a literature person, maybe it is my own error in seeking a storyline, when actually it was more of a tone/mood piece.
I visited the Poe Museum in 2006, and it was fun identifying the locations of several of the scenes. I hope the director/producer continues with his work, and I look forward to seeing more from him.
