Ok but I wish it was longer

I enjoyed this short movie. It was funny, but I wish it was longer. I wish Homer and Marge were superheroes too.

Good crossover
elliotpower20007 July 2021
Even though it is a short (very short) I found it very funny making fun of Loki as a character and lots of MCU references.

Good crossover, but too short
Elvis-Del-Valle3 December 2023
The Simpsons has always known how to artfully parody many films or series that marked popular culture and with this Marvel crossover they could have done something very interesting. It would have been spectacular as a special of at least half an hour instead of being a short film that was too short. Bart and Loki could have interacted very well and when they meet, you can tell that they could have been a great duo. The bad thing about this crossover being a short film is that it limits too much the possibility of providing a great tribute to Marvel. That several characters from The Simpsons have the powers or abilities of many Marvel characters is sensational and could have offered a great show. This crossover could be considered part of the multiverse and the first seconds arouse quite a fascination, but it is a shame that they did not do something that lasts longer and only leaves us wanting to have seen more. My final rating for this crossover is a 6/10.

Loki goes to Springfield
SnoopyStyle9 August 2022
Loki gets banished to Springfield. The people of Springfield get their Marvel on. This is a short for Disney+. It's low level sarcastic fun although it's trying to have its cake and eat it too. It's trying to make fun of corporate but it's made solely for corporate reasons.

Marvel simpsons
gcbeaton-8717811 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In honour of Avengers in game The simpsons comes out with a new short The good the Bart and the ugly This short was very entertaining for about 7 minutes of the little clips and the part where Ralph is throwing Loki around was very funny. But other than that it doesn't it lacks great story that a short like a Short should which all the Simpson shorts do that Now I don't like the simpsons but the symptoms are just not good enough for my expectations At least they nailed the voice as right I mean lucky it wasn't busy And that massive um portal scene aint well I wouldn't really call that It was pretty funny. Overall a good short.

For God's sake Disney we get it!
AdrenalinDragon8 July 2021
Stop bragging about being able to use Marvel characters in The Simpsons. We get it Disney you own Fox now big deal! Also not that funny and just a waste of time for how little plot there is.

3.5/10.

Comic book guy was quicksilver 😂😭
This was much shorter than I expected it to be (only 4 and a half minutes long) but it wasn't bad. It was actually very wholesome for the short time it had. Watch it if your a marvel or simpsons fan but otherwise meh.

Why is the title a reference to a classic spaghetti western?
Pjtaylor-96-13804411 July 2021
This Marvel/ Simpsons crossover is far too fleeting to be anything other than utterly inconsequential, despite it having a couple of amusing moments sprinkled throughout. It's essentially all just an advert for Disney+, to be honest. Any potential the piece may have had is squashed by its incredibly short length and the fact that it just feels like a bunch of half-baked ideas haphazardly tossed together. It's not necessarily bad, but it's barely anything, really. 4/10.

Focused too much on the "gimmick"
spacemafia9 July 2021
I feel as though this short had too much of a focus on the gimmick (i.e. The crossover, the artwork in the credits and the characters being in their Avengers form) and little to no focus on the storyline which was strongly lacking and also very disappointing. Take The 8-Bit Guy's analogy as to why he preferred the games for the original Game Boy rather than those made for the Game Boy Color as an example, the reason why he preferred the original is because they actually had good gameplay, and the ones for the Color focused too much on the graphics and not much on the gameplay. I think that analogy applies here as well. This short tried to wow the viewers with the graphics and artwork, yet they fell through and failed on the storyline. AT THE VERY LEAST it would have been cool to see what Bart would be like as an Avenger, and yet that (for obvious reasons) didn't happen because of what Loki and Lisa did. I just can't help but feel very disappointed.

Update/Edit - I'm gonna have to disagree with Amelia Ortega on this one. It might seem fun, but out of all Simpsons characters to play as Marvel characters, I wish Bart was one of them, as I think it would have been really cool as this would totally be his thing. Sadly, we visit the root issue: what Lisa and Loki inevitably did which stopped that from happening. That seems to be all there is to the failing storyline.

Disappointing
AnimatedCritic27 July 2021
I was excited to see this short to see the collaboration with the Simpsons and the MCU. When I watched it, I was expecting more. The runtime should've been 15 minutes at most. I feel like the whole reason for this short was to show off the Simpsons as Marvel characters. Also, how no one cared about Bart at all was really sickening. Soon, he might become the Meg of the Simpsons. Overall it's an underwhelming short.

What the hell?
10086cn8 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I've just been absolutely sickened for the past couple hours (as of typing this) at what I had just seen. The bit that got me mad was how Loki manipulated Bart and, as a result, Lisa had thrown the real Bart off somewhere (I haven't been able to figure out where) and nobody even cared! Even in the next scene where Homer notices that the person in Bart's room was Loki, he didn't care or nothing. And to add insult to injury, in the credits sequence, Bart is, quite obviously, nowhere to be seen in the artwork!

By the way, this isn't even the first time something like this would happen to Bart. But the fact that it happened here aswell is just distressing to my mental health. Why the hell do they make Bart go through so much torture like that?! I'm sorry, but for this reason, I cannot rate this any higher than 1 star.

I am honestly getting sick and tired of having to watch so many episodes of Bart being tortured like this (with the current latest Treehouse of Horror being a perfect example). Any more stuff like this in season 33 and I'm honestly going to kiss this show goodbye. I'm not sticking around to watch more of Bart being used as a punching bag.

P. S. Another thing that also upsets me is how, whenever people talk about characters (from similar shows) being treated like this, they almost always talk about either Meg Griffin or Zoidberg (in Family Guy and Futurama, respectively), and never about Bart. That definitely needs to change, and needs to spread awareness. And sure, I understand that they both also get treated poorly too, the difference is that the audience and viewers of both shows acknowledges this and get all the attention from the viewers (little wonder that many people hated the Family Guy episode Seahorse Seashell Party), but when Bart gets treated like this, no one gives a damn about it. Often times he's treated even worse compared to Meg Griffin or Zoidberg, and they're able to get away with it, which is not ok. What also sucks is that they're still trying to push the agenda of the storyline of The Thing and I (from Treehouse of Horror VII) upon its viewers as a sort of "justification" for treating Bart like this, and the viewers are sucked into this false narrative about him, which I just find to be total BS.

Left a lot to be desired
myidea4u8 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was quite interested in this short as I thought it would be quite a cool crossover. Sadly, there just wasn't much of a plot or a storyline. It's just Loki manipulating Bart to be with his family. Not happy and not impressed one bit! The graphics might look good, but that doesn't make up for how this crossover left a lot to be desired.

So much misleading promotion!
hassanm-304498 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Angry to say the least. Seen so much promotion on instagram, YouTube etc only to go on Disney Plus and find out its 6 minutes in total, 4 minutes excluding credits. What was the point?!!! The description for the short says " Loki takes on the Simpson and Springfields mightiest heroes" . This was all a lie. Disappointed.

Some of you guys need to chill out. It was a fun short to watch. I don't know why people hate it so much. I love the crossover with the Simpsons characters getting to play as marvel characters. Very fun indeed.

Awesome if you're up date with the Loki TVshow
It's just a 4 minutes short so no really high expectation but I think that if you are currently watching Loki and love the show then you're gonna love this short as well. Loved the fact that Loki was actually voiced by Tom Hiddleston, though no surprise since it's always Disney.

A way for Disney to brag that they bought out Fox & Marvel. Not really a story line to follow.

Insulting!
Rithrius8 July 2021
Once more, David Silverman proves he's not a human being. They saw something popular (In this case, Loki) and assumed that if they simply shoved a bunch of Simpsons characters into their costumes, it would automatically be popular as well.

The humor is not funny. The jokes are not clever. The writers have clearly never seen one of the MCU movies, or didn't care enough to make a worthwhile parody. If the creators of this project had any respect for themselves, they would've been able to make a full-length episode with clever jokes and references that put a smile on your face, instead of a 3-minute short with an extremely dated form of comedy and references that don't even make sense.

It is an insult. Not only to fans of Marvel, but also to its creators, and everyone who worked hard on the cinematic adaptations. The Simpsons have long been a tired, old, and exhausted franchise, and this proves it once again.

Two tired franchises
mastermixdisaster11 July 2021
What do you get when you cross an animated series that has long outlived it's expiration date with a cinematic franchise that has overstayed it's welcome?

This.

the end of culture
mzucker-3957411 July 2021
Disney has consumed and monetized everything we know and love and is now rubbing it in our faces and this five minute abomination perfectly represents how unflinchingly greedy and disgustingly "self-aware" theyve become as a corporation

but dont go after tom hiddleston we like tom hiddleston.
