Violence & Gore

  • Pinocchio gets run over by a vehicle and dies temporarily, but he is able to come back to life. He dies a few times throughout the film, like when he sacrifices his life to save Gepetto, but he is still alive at the end.
  • The kids in the movie are sent to a training camp for the fascist youth, where they learn how to use weapons. When The Podestà gets angry at the kids for not taking it seriously, he tells Candlewick to shoot Pinocchio, even thought they know he comes back to life, but he doesn't shoot him.

  • Count Volpe's death is disturbing. He is thrown off a cliff and falls into some rocks, which is briefly shown, but the sound is graphic.
  • Gepetto, Cricket and Spazzatura die of old age at the end of the film. Cricket is revealed to be playing cards in the afterlife, so it is implied the others are there too.
