A gritty, lifelike film
kb-soh26 May 2017
Through its use of gritty settings, lifelike characters, and a compellingly realistic plot line, Roulette City is a film that stands out. Roulette city does not filter itself in portraying the Las Vegas of the East as a hotspot of nefarious, criminal activity. It gives its characters lifelike flaws, with personalities and stories that feel genuine and realistic. The rawness of the camera work further lends itself to the genuine and gritty tone of this film. Roulette City is an enjoyable watch that will compel viewers to reflect on the challenges and flaws of its characters.

Warning: Spoilers
Macau is the famous gamble city in Asia(by mainland China). I look at this film on 2012 and after that several times. Roulette city is the couple story in the city. They have a dream, but not same ... It is possible to happen this kind of difference. I feel so closeness sense like them.

A rare movie filmed in Macau

It's rare to see a film made in Macau. This film captures the essence of Macau so well and portrays the dangers of greed very accurately. The ending was unexpected and heartbreaking. I used to think Macau was just about casinos. This film showed a side of the city seldom seen on the mainstream media. Definitely looking forward to this filmmakers next movie.
