Like a good, CLASSIC twilight zone episode!
janetgoodman10 July 2010
Written like a classic twilight zone episode, this short tells the story of a woman who goes to a Dog Run, only to meet a man who seems to know a *little* too much about dogs that she's put down in the past.

Shot in muted blue colors, this piece is *creepy* from start to finish. It's even a little philosophical, touching a bit on the moral gray areas of animal rights and pet ownership.

The acting's great (I hear the main actor is well known in the UK), and the photography's beautifully shot.

Worth a look... Especially if you're an animal lover like me! (Now, if only I could get a copy of this on DVD.)

Modern day Gothic horror
dogglebe10 July 2010
'Dog Run' is a true horror tale that doesn't rely on blood, gore, or violence but, rather, man's own dark side. In it, a young woman is forced to face her past and how she takes cares of her aging dogs.

Emma Bispham plays Carrie, an ordinary dog owner who runs into the mysterious Sawyer, played by David Sterne. Through casual conversation, Sawyer forces Carrie (and the viewer) of man's cold-hearted way of disposing pets once they become an inconvenience.

For those people who have ever put a dog down, this short will hit you like a ton of bricks and open a lot of old wounds. And, while it's definitely not violent, it will definitely leave you shaken.

A suspense thriller of the highest caliber!
TrooprThrn2 November 2010
Hitchcock said there is no suspense in a gun shot, but rather the suspense is in waiting for it. That so well applies to Dog Run. Things appear to be going just fine, until things get a little creepy amongst the human characters, and just keep getting creepier. Truly an edge of your seat thriller, but I would recommend younger viewers go elsewhere since Dog Run would definitely prove too suspenseful and downright scary at times for them. Dog Run is much more thrilling and suspenseful than the plague of recent major motion pictures claiming to be the same. I wish I had a DVD copy to show my friends this past Halloween. It would have been more of a fright than anything else I've seen in too long.
