The Big Dig

I rated this series a very solid 8 for the first two seasons and Season 3 opens with an 8, as well. This is a terrifically written and acted series. It takes advantage of Boston. The stars, Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge, are outstanding, as are Jill Hennessy, Lauren Banks and John Doman.

In my previous review, I said that the most intriguing aspect to this series is that both the leads are bad guys. Kevin Bacon's character acknowledges and embraces his badness, but Aldis Hodge's character actually thinks he's a good guy because his means justify his self-righteous ends.

I look forward to this season.

Grossly Underrated Series

I still do not know why this show is not popular.

In the begining I was wondering whether or not to root for Jaclie Rohr. The gray soon glided into black territory, still...

Good storytelling is all it takes.

Brilliant drama

We've watched City on a Hill from series 1 and have just watched series 3. It's a fantastic series, all the story lines and actors are fantastic, especially Kevin Bacon who plays a real sleaze ball but brilliantly. Watch this series and I dare you not to love it but it can be dark and seedy. I'm praying for a 4th series🙏🏼🙏🏼 It's set in the early 90's so there's no mobile phones or modern stuff. The actor who plays Kevin Bacon's long suffering wife in this drama is brilliant and you just want to give her a massive hug. The Decourcy couple in this are also great. You have crime, but also a back drop of their personal lives and other stuff going on, please bring back series 4 it would be rude not to!
