Fox unveiled its midseason schedule on Tuesday, and the big news is that Nine-Nine — which currently airs on Sunday night — is moving back to its old Tuesday stomping ground. One of Warner Bros.’ big summer comedies packs the weight of two major headliners: Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. While the former did scoop up an Oscar a while back, she’s remained relatively low on the radar in the aftermath of her glorious win. The latter, however, has established herself as one of the highlights of ABC’s mockumentary comedy Modern Family. Put the pair together and what do you get? This year’s female buddy comedy, Hot Pursuit.
Previously titled Don’t Mess With Texas, the film might have swapped out its name, but the story remains the same. Witherspoon plays an uptight cop tasked with transferring Vergara’s glamorous moll across the country. In order to deliver Vergara, a key witness in the trial of a noted mobster’s death, Witherspoon’s fussy law enforcer must do whatever it takes to protect her. That includes all sorts...

Warner Bros. has unleashed the first trailer for female buddy movie, Hot Pursuit, starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. In the pic, the pair appear as an unlikely duo who team up to escape a motley crew of cops and mobsters. Maintaining the comedic tradition of opposites attract, Witherspoon plays a rigid cop who sticks to the rules with Vergara alongside her as a vivacious gangster’s widow.
The pair become attached at the hip when big-time drug boss Cortez is killed and Vergara’s widow is ordered to appear at his murder trial. Enter her protective law enforcer – tasked with escorting her cross-country – and they are soon on the run from a myriad of assorted baddies out to prevent them reaching their destination.
Storywise, it’s a by-the-numbers set up that’s aided in this trailer by its leading ladies who are at the top of their game. A...

The cast of HBO’s bloody-good hit series previewed the second half of season six — even if one of them won’t make it to season seven.
With five episodes left before True Blood bows out for another year, the HBO series’ cast had a lot of ground to cover July 20 during the show’s Comic-Con panel. Needless to say, Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) love life and the identity of this season’s buzzed-about victim were among the hottest topics of conversation.
‘True Blood’ Spoilers From Comic-Con
For starters, Anna told the crowd she’s glad Sookie isn’t as much of a “doormat” this season — I assume she’s referring to her bad-ass confrontation with Warlow last week — which means you probably shouldn’t hold out for a reunion between Sookie and Bill (Stephen Moyer) this season, either.
Speaking of complicated relationships, Sam Trammell acknowledged that Sam’s got...

Plus, Michael McMillian previews Steve Newlin’s ‘surprising’ journey in season six.
As we venture deeper into True Blood‘s sixth season — we are officially half-way through it, in case you weren’t aware — Truebies everywhere have one burning question on their collective brain: Which major character is heading for the grave? HollywoodLife.com chatted with Michael McMillian, who plays the lovable (former) reverend Steve Newlin, for his take on the upcoming death; and he assured us it’s going to be devastating.
“I obviously can’t say who it is, but I was definitely surprised when I found out,” Michael admitted, adding that the shocking death “changes the tone of the show” entirely.
Um… that‘s not comforting!
Ever since showrunner Brian Buckner revealed that “one of the principal characters will not make it all the way through the season,” fans have speculated which vampire will meet his (or her) true death.

I knew Sookie’s parents were racist, but were they also murderers? Probably, yeah.
Let’s start this week’s recap with a few rhetorical questions: Why does Sookie (Anna Paquin) keep digging into her past? Hasn’t she learned by now that the more questions she asks, the more people come out of the woodworks to kill her? Oh, who am I kidding? This is Sookie we’re talking about; she’s a big fairy dumb-dumb who gets off putting herself, and others, in harm’s way — which explains why the July 14 episode of True Blood ended with her being drowned in a damn lake.
Rewinding a bit… Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) told Sookie that when he killed her parents, it was only to stop them from killing her. It turns out he came to Mr. and Mrs. Stackhouse with his intentions to turn Sookie into a vampire, but they...

True Blood answered a major question last night -- Who is Warlow? -- by revealing mysterious faerie Ben was not only a vampire but also the masked man searching for Sookie. That answer, however, begat a million more questions, so I turned to Robert Kazinsky, the beguiling Brit who plays Ben/Warlow and has served as an adrenaline needle to True Blood's heart this season.
Kazinsky not only broke down how and when the Warlow news was revealed to him, but cautions that viewers haven't seen the depths of his depravity or the lengths he'll go to for love quite yet. Luckily for his ever-expanding fanbase, this break-out True Blood gig isn't the only reason 2013 is shaping up to be a stellar year for Kazinsky -- he also stars in the hotly anticipated Pacific Rim, a potential cinematic game-changer that he equates with Jurassic Park!

The casual irreverence of Spike’s Guys Choice Awards was evident everywhere during the show’s taping, from the upscale tiki/woodsy decor and leopard-print carpet to the green room that felt more like an A-list cocktail party than a staging area for busy celebs just waiting to do their bit on stage and rush off to another, possibly cooler event.
But that didn’t stop Jimmy Kimmel from putting the show in its place. “People talk about the Oscars and they talk about the Emmys and they talk about the Tonys, the People’s Choice Awards, the Soul Train Awards,...

"If we taint our blood with booze, we're poisonous to eat." Time for a little drunken Irish fun. A new trailer has arrived online for a Sundance midnight film titled Grabbers, a sci-fi comedy with weird alien creatures that invade a sleepy fishing village off the West coast of Ireland. The cast includes Richard Coyle (W.E, Prince of Persia) and Ruth Bradley (Flyboys, "Love/Hate") and lots of other boozed up local actors who all look like they had fun making this. It looks like quite a bit of low budget, wacky, alcoholic craziness, but I'm not sure the sci-fi element plays much. The song they use is "Black Keys" by The Minutes - check it out! Watch the first official trailer for Jon Wright's Grabbers, originally posted on YouTube: Directed by Irish filmmaker Jon Wright (Tormented), from a script by Kevin Lehane, Grabbers tells the story of Ciarán O'Shea,...

Young Irish actress Ruth Bradley (In Her Skin) has landed her first Us acting role in ABC's take of the story of Beauty And The Beast. There are currently two shows in development, the other at the CW. Their version will be a reboot of the '80s series with Linda Hamilton and Ron Pearlman, whereas the premise of this one is detailed below.. A fantasy re-imagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale wherein an embattled princess, Grace (Bradley), discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast, Shiro (Scottish singer-actor Darius Campbell), a mercenary bodyguard. Not too much to go on yet then. Apparently Bradley's casting comes on the heels of the Sundance premiere of her new movie Grabbers. I doubt this show airs Stateside, but she is best known in Ireland for her role in the tv series Love/Hate, in which she stars alongside Aidan Gillen (Game Of Thrones,...

Released by Disney Home Entertainment
While the headliner of Disney's incredible group of releases on November 30th will be the four-disc Blu-ray double feature of "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000," it's what's less publicized that should be exciting to both Disneyphiles and film fans in general. Starting with the hi-def debut of the two "Fantasias," Disney will finally include amongst the films' copious special features (many ported over from the out-of-print DVD set) the 1946 Salvador Dali-Walt Disney collaboration "Destino," along with an 82-minute making-of documentary. And incidentally, Disney is also releasing three standalone documentaries that shouldn't be overlooked in "The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story" about the songsmiths behind the studio's most famous musicals like "Mary Poppins," "Walt & El Grupo," which details the company-shifting trip Walt Disney took with his animators to Latin America as part of the Good...

Who doesn.t love Christopher Walken? I think I could watch him do almost anything including, but limited to, an overtly deadpan, dramatic reading of Lady Gaga lyrics. Walken is a sneaky funny guys who steals scenes with a monotone and snarky delivery. Now he.ll have a chance to get more laughs. The Hollywood Reporter has Walken joining the cast of Scott Marshall.s (All.s Faire in Love) upcoming comedy Wild Oats. Wild Oats is an action-comedy about a widowed grandmother (MacLaine) who comes into money and hits the road to Las Vegas with her granddaughter (Ricci). Claudia Myers (Kettle of Fish wrote the script about the grandma-granddaughter team sewing some of their own wild oats across America. Walken.s been in and out of comedies...
