The narrator, Joanna Lumley, is an absolute snob. Some of the things she says are so stuck up and from her own extreme bias and prejudice. How dare she publicly judge people the way she has.
Just an example, "..they shouldn't have a cat" This was part of a personal judgment on her part, about how some cats were being shaved because they're owners are allergic. I ask, you stupid dumb B----, who the F-- is going to take all the cats that live in homes with people who are allergic to them? There are already 1000's of cats put down each year now.
Another example.."If Romey could speak, I bet he wouldn't be begging to have his handsome coat shorn off." - Really?? What about your children.. your human children. You let them tell you what's best for them too? Because 90% of your grocery would be gummies and general grooming would probably be out too.
Her judgmental and unfair commentary, made her a poor choice for narrator and guide for this series. Her negative views in regards to the way other people, in her own culture and other very different cultures, sought to identify with their domestic cats, should of been kept to herself, as long as neither long term physical or emotional harm came to these animals. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if further on in this series, we see her express outrage at spaying/neutering. I mean, it would fit quite nicely into her theory that humans should stop meddling with the nature of cats, right?
