The 'Lonely I Be' song is taken from Steve Abel's award-winning debut album 'Little Death' (2006).
''The video moves between two puppets on a lonely plain, and close-ups of 'Steve] Abel and the guest vocalist who accompanies him: Goldenhorse's Kirsten Morrell'' according to website 'New Zealand on Screen'.
One of a number of collaborations of director Florian Habicht and cinematographer Christopher Pryor.
Steve Abel has said of the production: ''Unitec let us use a space for two weeks to build the set. We used moss to make the puppet set, and Kirsten and I were shot in my flat in Kingsland using a green-screen. The puppets have independent careers in Oly Smart's European traveling puppetry show.''
Singer and musician Steve Abel conceived the original idea for this puppet music video.
