Nicely done episode that focuses on the aftermath of Johnny Carson's stepping down from the Tonight Show. Jay Leno was the chosen one and began to do the show the Monday after Carson's departure. David Letterman was offered the Late Late Show, but it was a death sentence for a host. After a time, Letterman divorced himself from NBC and hooked up with CBS and became the success we know him to be today. The show then goes into the way that each of these men crafted their shows. We also get a look at some of the up and coming stars that we will see more of in future episodes.
