This episode begins with Liz, she has a meeting with Townsend. Townsend stabs 4 of his helpers to death. Red lost Anne after Liz pushed Anne's head on the table. The Taskforce go to the museum, but Liz is also present. Liz and Max stole the typewriter out of the museum. Liz fights with Park. Max knocked down Park. Ressler captured the typewriter, Liz and Max escaped. The typewriter is named: The Russian Knot. Ressler arranged a meeting with Liz at the fountain. Liz escaped. Liz decoded the puzzle: 'Its time to mobilize assets'. Liz has prove that Red is N-13. Nice Episode of The Blacklist Season 8, this was a good episode to steam things up a bit. Liz is near to unmask Red, will she succeed?

The writers really do everything to make us hate the story more.

Everyone really has to be stupid to make Elizabeth look smart !!!

• If the device was important, why hadn't Rostova stolen it all these years?

If it mattered, why didn't Readington steal it himself when he knew how emotionally close the task Forces were to Elizabeth?

• And where do all those Townsend protectors go at once?

I have watched every season. James Spader is terrific, I adore the Reddington character. So OVER Liz and her whining, she would be nothing without Red! I so want to continue to like and watch the show. It is almost impossible to watch now. Please writers turn this train wreck around! Can Ressler be a bigger wimp? No.

Two glaring miss-steps in the story.

1. How did Agent Ressler know how to operate the Russian Knot before Reddington showed the Task Force?

2. If Townsend is so formidable and heavily protected, how did Keen and her security get to him at his home and manage to put a bag over his head? Even though his people know Keen is working together with Townsend, they wouldn't leave him alone with her without his authorisation, much less allow Keen's people to go into the room with her.

Here on IMDb there is a user who signs as MidnightWanderer21 who has already written what I think too.

I add that the whole episode sees the characters acting as if Misère never happened.

Townsend puts an entire town on fire but nobody talks about it, apparently he just got away with it.

Liz shows no remorse for Anne's death. Having heard the audition leaks weeks ago, I had hoped she was the one to give something to Anne's daughter but evidently her character is now one dimensional evil.

Even Red, aside from having teary eyes a few times, seems to have quickly shelved Anne by giving her daughter $ 3 million.

Same thing for Dembe, who doesn't even care about having a daughter who cheats on him.

In the task force the only one with a bit of salt in her pumpkin is Park but no one listens to her because she is the newcomer. Ressler thinks with the second brain, Aram would hug everyone.

The episode is saved thanks to Paula and the fact that this was a humorous filler episode.

Too bad we can't sack Bokenkamp as writer and creator, but the story line from the last episode of season 7 through to ask episodes of season 8 has been awful. But for Spader'd Portrayal of Red, fans would have abandoned the show!

If the Russian knot has been the means that Raymond is communicating with the Russian Cabal, how has he been communicating with them all this while when the only Russian Knot machine other than the one with the Russians is in Minsk as a museum exhibit?

So Red isn't N13 afterall... And Liz has been so wrong? But who cares anyway. They've tried up the series until 2021 into the 9th session. Most of the players can look to a comfy retirement and so what if the whole series tanks and bombs out.
