Despite the SHAMELESS MGD commercial that's OH SO SUBTLY hidden throughout the episode, this one actually has a lot of heart!

Michael gets to help a client who's problem hits close to home, and it's executed fantastically! The comedic twist at the end is *chef's kiss*

One of my favorite episodes

In this episode, the crew tries to help a teenage boy and his little brother escape from their evil stepfather, who is a public hero by day, domestic abuser by night. Michael adopts a persona that allows him to manipulate the bad guy's paranoia, as well as beat the bejesus out of him every time they meet, which is super satisfying to watch when you see what the bad guy does to his wife and her kids. Their plan hits a snag and forces them to turn to plan B which is one of the most hilarious and karmic endings on this show.
