Following its world premiere at South by Southwest, You Sing Loud, I Sing Louder changed its tune to the more memorable Bleeding Love, an homage to the Leona Lewis mega hit featured in the film and a fitting allusion to the emotionally fueled core of the father-daughter focused story. Ewan McGregor stars alongside his real-life daughter Clara McGregor, who produced and co-wrote the story with producer Vera Bulder and Ruby Caster. Though a work of fiction, the idea began with Clara drawing on past aspects of her own father-daughter relationship.

Exclusive: Following a major bidding battle that went through the weekend, Amazon MGM Studios has landed an untitled thriller written by Natalie Krinsky, with Kim Kardashian attached to star and produce. Bruna Papandrea is also producing through her Made Up Stories banner alongside Krinsky.
According to sources, Amazon was one of five studios in the mix. With all being sorted out, sources close to the project say a theatrical or streaming release plan is possible, though nothing is confirmed given the early nature of the project.
Not much is known about the pic other than it being a thriller developed specifically for Kardashian. This marks the second massive package sold since the SAG-AFTRA strike ended with Kardashian front and center, after Netflix landed her comedy The Fifth Wheel over Thanksgiving; insiders say the latest deal is even more lucrative then that package.

True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto was the mastermind behind the first three seasons of the HBO anthology crime series, but he’s not creatively involved in the latest season, True Detective: Night Country, despite retaining an executive producer credit on the show. He has made his lack of involvement with the new season very clear on social media, where he even went so far as to refer to one element of the new episodes as “stupid”. True Detective: Night Country comes to us from Tigers Are Not Afraid filmmaker Issa López, who directed and co-wrote all six episodes of the season. To find out what Lopez thought of Pizzolatto’s comments, Vulture reached out to her – and did get a response.
Screen caps of the comments Pizzolatto has made can be found on reddit. In response to a fan who said “I really hope Matthew (McConaughey) had enough respect for...

The fourth installment of HBO’s True Detective series is poised to be the spookiest yet. Set in the remote town of Ennis, Alaska, Night Country follows former partners Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro as they investigate the disappearance of eight researchers from a remote facility. The pair have a tense past, not only with each other, but with others in their small town.
True Detective: Night Country marks Jodie Foster’s first television appearance since the ’70s – not counting her handful of voiceover and narration guest roles in the ’90s and early ’00s – though certainly not her first time starring in a thriller. Foster is joined by a number of other talented actors, including Kali Reis, Fiona Shaw, and Christopher Eccleston.
Here’s everyone you need to know in True Detective: Night Country, and where you’ve seen them before.

Pet Sematary has been sequelized, rebooted, and now with the arrival of Pet Sematary: Bloodlines it has a prequel. Adapting Stephen King’s works for the screen is a risky enough proposition, creating new stories based on them even more so as anyone whose seen a few Children of the Corn sequels or reboots can attest. King himself however seems to be happy with this film and tweeted:
“In the book, this is the story Jud Crandall tells Louis Creed to try and dissuade him from using the Pet Sematary,” wrote King. “The screenplay takes a few liberties, but it’s a fine story. David Duchovny is excellent. The secret, as always, is caring about the characters.”

Paramount TV Studios, which produces Long Slow Exhale, is working with series creator Pam Veasey to explore options for keeping the series going, I hear. Currently, after a nine-month exclusive run on Spectrum, Long Slow Exhale is set for a second window on Paramount TV Studios corporate sibling BET. It is unclear whether the Paramount cable network would be interested in continuing with the series; its brass may want to wait and see how Season 1 performs on BET but a Season 2 decision will likely have to be made prior to that by the studio.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the first three episodes of “Long Slow Exhale,” streaming now on Spectrum.
“Long Slow Exhale” is not a laid-back watch. The Spectrum Originals series, which dropped its first three episodes this week, tells a heavy, at times dark, story about a college women’s basketball team in the middle of a sexual assault scandal — and a shocking murder.
Over the course of the first episodes, head coach J.C. Abernathy (Rose Rollins) is blindsided when she learns that her assistant coach, Eddie Hagan (Ian Harding), is accused of sexual assault by her star player. To complicate things further, the university doesn’t want it coming out — plus, J.C. and Eddie have a history of their own. The series flashes between different timelines, including one down the road during which J.C. and her husband are placing the dead body...
