A love it or hate it movie. It all depends on your set of mind.
silvana_Plus_by25 April 2023
This is a saga and, I can definitely see this chapter as a Love it or hate it one. It is not everyone who would have the set of mind of sitting down to watch just a couple of characters interact and specially, watching one of them while she loses her mind due to bizarre yet, understandable situations.

I took this movie as an empathetic path of walking the characters' journey with her; as a human, as a woman, as a mother. Also, it is a game of wondering since you must keep your mind open to not getting all the answers.

We are used to all too fast, too full and, sometimes, too obvious content. This movie definitely has a different angle.

I can also appreciate a movie of this technical level being brought to Colombia with so much love. I had the privilege of listening first hand, at the Cartagena 62nd Film Festival, how this movie was shot during the pandemic and under quite extreme circumstances.

Beilliant

Warning: Spoilers
Great film, indeed, a must see film, with a powerful message. I don't think I have ever seen a film with such a surreal birth scene. The lead actriz has an enigmatic presence... she, literally alone, carries the whole movie. I kept thinking early in the film that we will see someone else but soon you forget that and becomes evident that you actually don't want to see anyone else, she is all it matters - we cannot get our eyes off of her. There are many things however that have no explanation and left me wondering if there are other movies coming, at the end it says: the beginning... hmm, ok, so, the beginning of what. Props to the dog, Lobo, he seems so gentle and just out of this world.

VERY INTERESTING MOVIE
sanfierrom27 April 2023
I think this movie explores very well a character that discovered that she is alone in this world after an apocalypse. The decadence and the madness of the character show us that the human mind can be very fragile but at the same time can be very strong.

Natalia Reyes and the director Alfonso made a great job convincing us that world destruction can be possible and that after all is the only thing we need to care about.

The cinematography sometimes give us the sensation that we are in horror movie and I think it would have been better to have more static shots of Natalia and maybe more intimate shots so we can be with her more time and understand her more.

The direction and the acting is grate and I can tell that there was a hard job behind all this master piece.

A Truly Great Piece of Filmmaking
Dianaariza26 April 2023
From start to finish this movie keeps you captivated by the story of a woman who finds herself alone after a great destruction on the planet. The film allows the audience to feel what would happen in the event that a person was left alone as the only survivor. The actress, through her performance, manages to convey the emotions of a human being when she finds herself alone in the world, with no one around her to talk to, interact with or ask for help, she only finds a dog who becomes her best company and friend. It is a film that has great production values, from the script, direction, acting, sound, music, effects and photography. Definitely a great piece of the film industry produced and filmed in Colombia.

More than a movie, Tomorrow Before After is an encounter with our fears, but also with our hope.

More than a movie, Tomorrow Before After is an encounter with our fears, but also with our hope.

From the beginning to the end it makes us think on how self-destructive we can be, but also on the wonderful power we have to start over and transform our destiny.

The sound and its soundtrack become the perfect partner for Natalia, helping us to feel firsthand the internal struggle of the protagonist.

Apocalyptic locations, impeccable art direction and a great cinematography, show us that Colombia is a perfect place to produce movies.

When we reach the last scene of the film, we can understand that the end is nothing more than the opportunity to start over.

Still waiting for the plot

Warning: Spoilers
Started as an interesting movie, with a world after some kind of apocalypse after pandemic according what the actress tells you over the movie. However, the more you get deep in the movie, the less you understand about all the things you're watching. A lot of scenes senseless getting nowhere and even paranormal activity coming out of the blue with the same target: getting nowhere.

The sinopsis talks about her child being the only chance for something (because once again we're getting nowhere), but reaching the end of the movie and the birth, still there's no small clue of the purpose of the child or the plot of the movie.

Visual effects can improve as well.

I can highlight the idea of living alone in earth and become crazy. The huge value of the company of your pet, but those small learnings are not enough to save this film.

Amazing

I was surprised by the level of production value of this film shot in Colombia and the incredible performance by the lead actress, Natalia Reyes. I saw this film at the 62nd Cartagena International Film Festival, as one of the special presentations of the festival and I was happy to see this type of film and the great response from the audience, particularly, the opinion of Tim Miller, who could not stop talking about Natalia formidable acting job... but, indeed, her work is impecable. The art direction is beautiful as well as the cinematography -- overall you can tell the director was clear about his message and his specific choice of living so many questions unanswered to be revealed in the next chapters of this saga.

Captivating

A powerful story, with an unique character holding the plot through an incredible acting, this post-apocalyptic world truly kept me glued to the screen with a naturalistic aesthetic that is invaded by a sinister other worldly perception created by light, The music is very interesting as it works with the natural feeling given by the film but mixed with synthesizers to give the atmosphere to the alien characters. The plot impacted me a lot, because it speaks of a world where humanity has already ceased to exist and continually leads to the feeling of an opportunity for a new beginning. I wanted to keep watching.
