"Are we rolling? Good," Hart says in the clip. "I want to talk about moonshots. What is that? I'm talking moonshots. [Eliud] Kipchoge running the full marathon in 2 hours and 25 seconds, after witnessing that type of greatness it inspired me to get my own." Adding, "I got little legs, but a big heart."

Who’S It For? For those who live in or love Oregon it’s a must see, for the rest the most important thing to realize is this film focuses on personal stories, not who’s going to win. Prepare to laugh and cry.
Complete Hood To Coast coverage including interviews with director Christoph Baaden
Overall
It’s not hard to make Oregon look good. The Hood to Coast race might be the perfect way to show it off. It’s really only missing specific shots of Multnomah falls, the still underrated wine country, Crater...

This week on “Studio 6″ I got a little overtime with my segment Flicks on 6. I’ve had the chance to watch the documentary Hood to Coast and I highly recommend it. Jake and I were lucky enough to sit down with the director Christoph Baaden and runner Jim Ekbert to talk about the film.
Hood To Coast follows four unlikely teams on their epic journey to conquer the world’s largest relay race. The film captures the love, dedication, and insanity of the every day runner as well as the excitement, pain, and humor of the unprepared first timer. Their stories are reminders that no matter who you are, you can push yourself beyond where you thought your limits were.

Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: I celebrate all levels of trailers and hopefully this column will satisfactorily give you a baseline of what beta wave I’m operating on, because what better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising? Some of the best authors will tell you that writing a short story is a lot harder than writing a long one, that you have to weigh every sentence. What better medium to see how this theory plays itself out beyond that than with movie trailers? The Tunnel Trailer Yes, it's like Rec. Get past that. What I like about this trailer is that it doesn't presuppose that "Gee, another movie where it's about 'found footage.

HBO’s highly-acclaimed and ratings record-breaking drama series, "True Blood" will premiere its third season on June 13th, featuring the score of composer Nathan Barr. HorrorBid got a chance to catch up with the busy composer to chat about "True Blood" and his score for the highly anticipated Eli Roth produced "The Last Exorcism"...
The award-winning composer arranges all the music, and performs the majority of the instrumental parts from his own private home studio in Topanga Canyon. “I've dusted off my dulcimer and a couple of other strange and obscure instruments that I never thought I'd have the chance to use and incorporated them into the score, giving the show some fresh musical notes while maintaining that True Blood sound,” he said.
Above: Nathan Barr, director Andrew Paquin (Anna Paquin’s brother) and the cast of Open House.
For the upcoming season, Barr collaborated with singer-songwriter, Elvis Costello on an original Lucinda Williams track,...

Synopsis
Hood To Coast follows four unlikely teams on their epic journey to conquer the world’s largest relay race. Each year, 1000 teams (12,000 runners) cover 197 grueling miles as a relay team, putting themselves through an arduous physical journey that as an individual would be impossible. Some run to test their personal limits, some to overcome personal obstacles, and others leap in blindly looking for a way to invigorate a complacent life. As we follow our four teams, we realize that winning isn’t everything in a documentary that takes a celebratory look at personal motivation and attempting the extraordinary.

SXSW 2010 – Day Five
Running toward the light at the end of the movie tunnel.
Complete Coverage of SXSW 2010
Today is my last day at the festival. I started the day with my first shave since I left Portland. I was set to appear on “Keep it Local” later in the day via Skype, so I figured I should clean up a bit.
My first movie of the day The Freebie.
Synopsis
The Freebie, directed by and starring Katie Aselton, is a romantic drama about a contented, yet sexually frustrated couples’ experiment to allow each other ‘one night off’. Darren (Dax Shepard) and Annie (Aselton) have an enviable relationship built on love, trust and communication – they still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion...
