Amateur movie with a passion like no other
fjavierdelamorena4 May 2021
This is an amateur movie, with amateur actors directed and produced by professional staff. And it shows. You can tell they are probably not going to win an Oscar or a Goya award as best actors or actresses, but you can see true passion in each and every one of them, and especially in Pep Amores (thus probably the title of the movie).

That is what this movie is about, Passion, with capital P. Passion for what you do, and above all, Passion for what you really want to do, your forgotten dreams, your lost paradises (the title they wanted for the movie this one became the "making of").

I attended the premiere at BCN film fest, and all I could see was a crowded movie theatre (as far as the pandemic allowed us) full of smiling people. You get the feeling of true passion, of really wanting something and doing whatever is in your hands to get it. Everything showed in a funny and laughable way.

Very good job!

Passion, dreams and feeling young.

Pep has done it again.

..with some friends over wine.. In the movie he expresses the passion of making dreams come true and feeling young while making them happen. An engaging piece of work worth watching despite some minor amateur acting flaws. The story is really great!

True passional movie

The true meaning of Passion for this movie is not the one that dictionary states (find out why, by watching the movie), but it is a passionate movie.

Don't expect to get what a huge Goya budget allows, but you won't be dissapointed. The movie is professionally made and it doesn't save ressources when needed.

You'll laugh a lot, as yes it is a comedy, from the point of view of a documentary. I've seen true artists and professionals there as well, but the vast majority of the cast are amateurs giving the best of themselves, in such a manner that most of the time you can't tell which ones are actual actors and which not.

The story is great, showing how tough to make a dream real can be. Pep Amores is brilliant as are the rest of the three main roles.

Great movie overall.
