Wonderful, hilarious and at times awkward and controversial mockumentary

Wonderful, hilarious and at times uncomfortable and controversial mockumentary by Gabriel Matías Lichtmann about Laila Salama, an alleged Jewish spy who began to operate against the Nazis in Argentina in the 1930s.

The film parodies the investigative documentary, based on the discovery of a book and other materials made by a filmmaker named Lichtmann (Héctor Díaz) at his grandfather's house. From there he begins an investigation about the identity and career of Salama that should not be revealed much and that is taking unexpected paths to record them in this documentary.

The film combines real and fictional characters, historical events, and footage. At times it becomes difficult to distinguish what is invented from what is real, since the plot combines both elements very well. The uncertainty and the approach to really serious and sensitive issues create an effect as funny as at times disturbing and the film acquires controversial edges in certain sections. A sharp and ironic Jewish humor about the Jewish (which will undoubtedly amuse the Jews themselves more) is continually present.

A great cast parades that includes Rafael Spregelburd, Ana Katz, Julieta Zylberberg, Juan Leyrado and Telma Fardin as the enigmatic spy.
