With Helen in Paris, Luke and Maxine spend a week together, on the final morning, Luke develops stomach pains and is rushed to hospital, his major worry is that Helen will know he hasn't been at home.
Far and away the best episode, miles better than all that have gone before.
I didn't find the comedy aspects here particularly good, the jokes didn't land, it simply wasn't funny, but, finally, the story has at least hotted quite a lot, and it become a whole lot more interesting.
I love Felicity Kendall, but those scenes where she was messing up the house, were they funny, or was I being grumpy, the audience were all in fits of laughter, maybe it's just me.
Finally Helen has woken up, put the pieces together, and confronted her cheating husband, it's been well acted in the whole, but it's Jane Asher once again that provides some real quality.
We've seen one guest from Fawlty Towers in the form of Gilly Flower, we see another here in the form of Beatrice Shaw, who plays a customer, in her final acting role.
As a comedy tragedy it's failing on one front, but the other front finally kicked into gear.
7/10.
