"The X Factor" or "The Xx Factor"?The singing competition will have three female judges next season: Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio were confirmed today as Britney Spears' and L.A. Reid's replacements, while Demi Lovato is returing for a second season. Simon Cowell will be the sole male judge on the panel, which will surely make for an interesting dynamic.Kelly rose to fame as an original member of Destiny's Child, alongside her best friend Beyonce Knowles. She's no stranger to reality TV competitions, having hosted "The Fashion Show" on Bravo and been a judge on the U.K. version of "The X Factor."Paulina is one of the best-selling Mexican pop artists, and has mentored on "La Voz Kids" -- a Spanish language version of "The Voice" featuring children.Fox hopes that the new judges will help "The X Factor" turn around its struggling ratings. Auditions begin this week.

So, X-Factor fans, La Reid and Britney Spears are out. Who will replace them to be the next season’s talent judges? How about Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio?
Like X-Factor programs around the world, the reality series is huge singing in which performers vie to win a $5 million dollar recording contract with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music. On the U.S. series, Cowell and Demi Lovato will remain on the judging panel as La Reid and Britney Spears make their exit after finishing up season 2.
Season 3 begins this September and the fall will be here before you know it. We need new judges! Will Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio join the likes of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who were season one judges? Deadline reports these two ladies are in negotiations now.

Andy Cohen with Brandi Glanville of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Andy Cohen, the iconic gay TV personality who has made Bravo TV a mecca of reality deliciousness, had done something unprecedented. He has migrated his pop culture show Watch What Happens Live to Austin, TX – but only temporarily. He has decided to tape a whole week of shows during SXSW, the popular Interactive, Film and Television Festival. It is something that he is really excited about because they have never taken the show on the road.
“I came last year to [South By Southwest] and did a panel and fell in love with it,” said Cohen while taking a break from his hectic week of shooting schedule. “It felt very copacetic with what we do at Watch What Happens Live. Austin's tagline is 'Keep Austin Weird' and Watch What Happens Live is weird in terms of talk shows!”
His show isn't exactly the most conventional.

On Wednesday night, during one of the most anticipated show premieres for the fashion and retail obsessed, NBC unveiled its newest reality competition Fashion Star, hosted by Elle MacPherson. Sitting at the helm of an era when designer capsule and limited-edition collections are serving as the basis for fast fashion retailers' core strategies, NBC's Fashion Star has found an innovative way to give aspiring designers exposure as well as stimulate immediate sales for large scale retailers like Macy's, Saks 5th Avenue, and H&M. Celebrity designers Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos serve as mentors on the show.
Above the excitement over this new integrated concept comes the surprising and empowering fact that two of the three judges of this national competition are women of color. Caprice Willard, featured buyer for Macy's, serves as Vice President/Regional Planning Manager for Women's Apparel for Macy's Southwest Region. She brings to...

On a recent Netflix-streaming binge, I stumbled upon "Unzipped," a cult documentary that followed designer Isaac Mizrahi as he designed and showed his fall 1994 collection. With appearances by supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss and Amber Valetta (not to mention a 5-second cameo by our senior beauty editor Simone Kitchens' former model sister, Amy Kizer), the drama-filled film was the start of Mizrahi's high-profile, on-camera career, which is his main focus since his high-end line Isaac Mizrahi shuttered in 1997, and has included cameos on "Sex and The City," "Ugly Betty," and "Gossip Girl," in addition to serving as a judge on Bravo's "The Fashion Show" and now "Project Runway: All-Stars."

Reality TV judging: It’s important. I can only commit to a TV talent show if I believe there are tough, fair-minded judges keeping the circus under control. Since we’re headlong into enticing seasons of The Voice and American Idol, the time is right to reflect upon the best judges in reality TV history – the ones who boast authority, smarts, sass, and fearsomeness. Oh, and some evil too!

I know, I know. I should have started my "Project Runway All Stars" recaps last week when it first premiered, but I was too busy huddled in a corner, recovering from the trauma of Tim Gunn's absence, wondering how they will "make it work."
Let's get one thing clear from the start: This is not "Project Runway," no matter what the name implies. There's no Tim Gunn, no Heidi Klum, no Michael Kors and no Nina Garcia. The accessory wall is Neiman Marcus, not Bluefly. They're not at Parsons. Prizes include a year-long guest editorship at Marie Claire and a specialty boutique inside Neiman's. There's not even immunity for challenge winners. So, if you're expecting the usual situation, well ... please don't. This is a new-fangled version.
Okay, now take a deep breath (with me cause I'm freaking out). Is everyone alright? I'm sorta dizzy, but whatever, let's continue. Our...

Much as I forswore never again to take on the thankless task of recapping a Project Runway season from beginning to end like I did last year (unless, ahem, you wanna throw some major cashish my way) we have to, just simply have to, watch the PR All Stars premiere Thursday January 5 at 9/8 central on Lifetime. I mean, how can we not? So let's take a look at the contestants and try to figure out why they're putting themselves through this hell again.
First of all you need to be aware that there will be nary a leggy German supermodel with a proclivity towards short hems in sight, nor a dashing and debonair silver-haired bespectacled and impeccably dressed mentor who's been known to give out hugs on occasion, nor a famed designer who can cut one dead with merely a sentence tossed their way. Yep. No Klum, No Kors, No Gunn.

If the designers on Project Runway need to make it work and no one's around to tell them to do so, can they still make it work?
That's one of the many conundrums facing the 13 designers invited back to compete on Project Runway All Stars, a season whose surprising details were released by Lifetime today. Gone (for this season) are Heidi, Nina, Michael, and Tim; in their place, we have model Angela Lindvall serving as host, with designer Isaac Mizrahi and co-founder of Marchesa Georgina Chapman acting as judges. Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles will join the show as the mentor to our lucky 13. Mizrahi is coming off two seasons on Bravo's The Fashion Show, while Chapman has previously guest judged on Project Runway.
The prizes this season will be an exclusive designer's boutique in select Neiman Marcus stores, $100,000 in cash from L'Oreal Paris, $100,000 in technology and office supplies from Hp and Intel,...

Back before Bravo became the "go to" network for botoxed housewives, the channel was best known for being the home of quality competitive reality programming (well, at least a lot of the time). That, of course, included Project Runway, one of the premiere reality series on U. S. television, as well as Top Chef, the show that finally managed to unseat The Amazing Race as the reigning Emmy reality show champion.
While Bravo still seems intent on putting a Housewives franchise in every state in America, the network hasn't given up on the competitive reality genre, having just this week launched Platinum Hit, a competitive songwriting show featuring Jewel and Kara DioGuardi as judges.
So is Platinum Hit Bravo's next Work of Art, the surprisingly engaging show about artists that was a surprise hit last summer? Or is it more the awful Project Runway rip-off The Fashion Show? (For the purposes of this article,...

But the connections between Bravo and Fashion Week are more extensive than the recent winners of the reality TV show. A look at where Fashion Week and reality overlap.

Bravo's "The Fashion Show" has crowned its season 2 winner. The finale was down to Calvin Tran, Dominique Pearl David and Jeffrey Williams who must prepare for the ultimate runway show to impress the judges, including guest Mary J. Blige, within one week.
The three designers were each given $3,600 to design nine pieces. Jeffrey, who was assisted by former contestant Cindy Ayvar, walked away with the title after he decided to go with body conscious and feminine collection on his show. Judge Isaac Mizrahi compared his show to "an orgasm", calling his designs "extremely bold and fearless."
The soft-spoken designer drew the inspiration from his late mother who died of breast cancer in 2004. He credited her for raising him well and therefore he picked her favorite color as the main theme. Jeffrey reserved a red gown with flowing tail as the big finale and Blige said she would wear every dress he presented.

After an exhausting week of designing on the finale of Bravo's "The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection," supermodel Iman and her less interesting judging cohorts named their winner. And Zap2it readers, you picked correctly.
Congratulations goes to Jeffrey!
Jeffrey walked away with the win after a stunning fashion show that judge Isaac Mizrahi compared to "an orgasm" for how it built to a big finale dress - a red gown with a long, flowing back. Guest judge Mary J. Blige said she would wear every design he sent down the runway.
It looked touch and go there for a while. With only two days to go, Jeffrey had very little to show for the previous few days of work. Calvin had basically finished his collection and made sure everyone knew. To top it off, the judges threw in a twist. On top of the nine looks the designers were already working on,...

Before we get to the finalists, can we have a moment of silence for Iman's departure from our weekly airwaves. She definitely brought that show to a whole new level. To Iman, we dedicate the "ultimate" in "The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection."
Now, the finalists:
Calvin: While the general viewing audience seemed to really want him out and even Iman has said that she was over him, Calvin out-b***hed the competition and narrowly survived several eliminations. But, this is a television show. And no matter how you swing it, Calvin gives good TV. Would we want him designing anything for us? No. We'd rather not pay someone to insult us. In the end, though, he consistently delivers well-made clothing and it's always a surprise how he includes functionality into his designs. Plus, he gave us the phrase, "Here go hell come." And for that, we are eternally grateful.

There are beauty moments, and there are beauty moments. When supermodel/mogul/"The Fashion Show" host Iman swanned down the Bet Honors red carpet last Friday, it was one for the books. Sure, she was swathed in a killer J. Mendel gown and stole, but her makeup brought us to our knees; Kohl-smudged eyes, dewy skin and luminous, nude lips -- it was perfection. We went right to the source, legendary makeup artist Sam Fine, to get the lowdown on how he created Iman's stunning look... Here's what you had to say: Scooter commented via Facebook: "I love how he did a pseudo step-by-step." Tiffany wrote via Facebook: "Blend, blend, blend!"...

The challenge this week on "The Fashion Show" was meant to test just how creative our ragamuffins (as we affectionately call them) can be. The answer? Not much.
This was a classic challenge for "Project Runway." Making fashion from found items goes back to its first season. But for the ragamuffins of "The Fashion Show," the concept was a bit out of their reach. Items found at a train station's Lost and Found department would have been a dream challenge for the "Runway" contestants -- at least there was actual fabric involved and not flowers or kitchen items, etc.
We also had a switch go down where David and Jeffrey traded houses. That was mostly interesting, because it split up a budding love affair. David and Dominique were getting too Pda for us, anyway. We think the TV gods manufactured that switch for the fans and we give our hearty thanks!

New York, NY, United States (NewsBahn) - What happens when you mix fashion, housewives and homemade pie together? No, it's not another over-the-top episode of Bravo's Real Housewives series. Instead, "The Fashion Show's" Isaac Mizrahi stopped by "The Martha Stewart Show" to share his take on men, watching his weight before the holidays and the questionable behavior of a few Housewives.
Isaac, who co-hosts "The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection" alongside supermodel Iman, knows a thing or two about what makes an outfit or accessory shine with his extensive experience in the fashion world. But when it comes to "chocolate or chicken" he says he leaves that to the homemaker master, Martha Stewart.
Although an avid baker himself, Isaac stated in the beginning of the show, "I do not need Martha Stewart to show me how to bake pie crust," but as they started making a Peppermint Candy Cake, he later changed his mind.

Yes, please! With a lot of my favorite shows ending or going on hiatus, Bravo is serving up all new episodes and this week we get a new episode of Watch What Happens Live every night! Monday night he had Rebecca Romijn and Kenan Thompson in the clubhouse and it was surprisingly awesome. Last night he had Iman and Diane von Furstenberg and it was surprisingly not awesome. But tonight Tom Colicchio and Amy Sedaris will be in the clubhouse and I could not be more excited.
But know what else we have to talk about? The Real Housewives on The Fashion Show! The designers had to design for The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Orange County. The challenge was to make them look classy and not like hookers. Still, the New Jersey Housewives told Teresa that her dress (designed by Calvin) looked like something they'd wear at Scores.

After four episodes, Bravo's The Fashion Show took a week off last night, so it seems like a good time to check in and see if the show's new direction is enough to make it more than the weak Project Runway clone it was in season one. As it stands, the series, hosted now by Iman and still judged by Isaac Mizrahi, has improved, though by replacing fashion with drama in the form of conflict.

Every week we're going to pick the gays who made the biggest splash on television and let you, the keepers of the flame, decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. We'll announce the winner the following Monday, and that champion will reign until a new set of challengers are unveiled the following week.
Let's get to this week's nominees!
Teddy Montgomery, 90210
We continued to be drawn into Teddy's struggle to come out, and this week he took a major step in coming out to himself. After attending the same party as Ian (but keeping his distance) Teddy finally admitted to himself that that he has feelings for Ian. After the party, Teddy gave Ian a helping hand cleaning up, followed by a kiss that made Ian's legs wobbly.
Cesar Galindo, The Fashion Show
Two week's ago, Cesar moved from the House of Nami to the struggling House of Emerald.

Isaac Mizrahi, who judges and mentors contestants on The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection, always has more to say about each week's results than what we see on TV. (Damn editors.) Zap2it had the amazing opportunity to drop in on "The Fashion Show's" mentor and judge, designer Isaac Mizrahi, at his New York City showroom. He's already working on his Fall 2011 line, so time is at a premium for the designer. But when it comes to shooting the Bravo competition, he feels it's worth it.

If you thought the world was running low on aspiring fashion designers, you thought wrong! There's still enough for Project Runway, and for every Project Runway knockoff Bravo can throw at us to make sure we know they miss it. I miss it, too, Bravo. Project Runway was the first show I ever got excited about, and the original Fashion Show (with Kelly Rowland, remember?) and Launch My Line just couldn't measure up. Is The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection the answer? Uhhhhh maybe not. Let's talk about what works and what doesn't based on this week's premiere.
It Works: The concept. If there's a fashion-based show, especially if it's a skill competition, we're going to watch it. Or we'll at least check it out until we forget about it. The Fashion Show is similar enough to Project Runway for us to watch and know what to expect, but different enough to avoid a lawsuit.

Bravo’s design series The Fashion Show returns tonight in arevamped, practically unrecognizable form. Host and judge Kelly Rowland hasbeen replaced by supermodel Iman. There will be 12 designers competing insteadof 15. And, most importantly the competitors will be split into two fashionhouses and will stage a complete runway extravaganza each week.
The one anchoring factor is the return of Isaac Mizrahi.
In a recent conference call interview, Isaac and Iman talkedabout the new format, the latest cast of characters, and how their larger thanlife personalities will factor into the show.
TheFashion Show Ultimate Collection premieres tonight at 10:00 Pm Pst/ 9:00 Pm Central on Bravo.
Q: This is the first time a show has split the designersinto two fashion houses. How does that change the dynamic of the show?

We admit it, we'd watch anything starring Iman. It's a bonus that her new co-hosting gig, Bravo's new-and-improved "The Fashion Show," is sure to be delicious good fun. The fashion competition show, hosted by Iman and legendary designer Isaac Mizrahi, features twelve designers split into two fashion "houses" -- and each week, the houses are faced with design challenges to be completed in twenty-four hours. We chatted with the supermodel/mogul/TV star about what it takes for a designer to hold her attention, and why she'll likely be perceived as "The Fashion Show's" Simon Cowell...

We're excited by the new season of "The Fashion Show." Why? One word: Iman. The iconic supermodel joins the show for Season 2 and she really is a game-changer.
Let's be real: "The Fashion Show" was Bravo's answer to "Project Runway" and Season 1 fell short of the right answer. But the truth is "Runway" isn't as great as it was in its heyday, either. Especially after this season's bloated 90-minute running time and its majorly unlikeable cast. "The Fashion Show" now has a chance to inch up on its competition and Iman as judge was a good step in that direction.
Here our five ways Iman changes the game:
1.) Iman gives the show credibility: There's no denying Iman is a force to be reckoned with. Her career spans three decades, and she'll tell you herself that she has modeled for everyone. And Iman indeed works it. We're pretty sure she could...

If you're like me, you watched the first season of Bravo's "The Fashion Show" and realized "Project Runway" was sew yesterday. With fashion design icon Isaac Mizrahi at the helm and hem, and an entire cast of memorable designers (like fan-favorites Anna and Daniella, the still-confusing Merlin), "The Fashion Show" was the ultimate show about fashion on television.
Now, "The Fashion Show" is back for a second season and, naturally, it's even bigger and better than ever. Out is "Commander" singer Kelly Rowland, who must be busy putting the finishing touches on her new dance album. In is celebrated supermodel and style icon Iman. Enough said.
"The Fashion Show: The Ultimate Collection" has been re-dressed to instead split the designers into two fashion houses, working towards creating two cohesive collections. The result is, as the title promises, a fashion show every week. And with the show's upgraded set and runway,...

Now that a gloriously torrid season of Project Runway is over, I'm suffering from a fashion TV void the size of Lincoln Center. But it appears that Bravo, Project Runway's original stomping grounds, is prepared to fill the niche with a revamped version of its The Fashion Show. With Kelly Rowland relieved from hosting duties and supermodel Iman taking over, I can assure you (with magnificent video evidence) that we might be in for the best fashion TV in existence.

Is The Gay Glass Half Naked Or Half Dressed?
So I was thinking about naked men this week — as part of my job, you pervs. Get your minds out of the gutter!
Actually, it wasn't just naked men I was pondering, but gay/bi male sexuality and how it's treated in the traditional media. Have things gotten better? Worse? In what ways? Is the gay glass of male sexuality half full or half empty?
What got me thinking about the topic? Well, like most things these days, it can be traced back to Glee which actually seems pretty emblematic of the whole topic. And more specifically it was the new issue of GQ featuring Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Lea Michele from Glee, that got me pondering the subject.
When I first saw the GQ cover I thought to myself, "Wow, what a double standard. You'd never see that sort...

Isaac Mizrahi believes television is almost always in fashion.
The noted designer has made many home-screen appearances, and he'll do so again when the Bravo competition series "The Fashion Show" returns with an "Ultimate Collection" season Tuesday, Nov. 9. Mizrahi will co-host the contest with model-actress Iman, and he's happy to see design getting such a TV showcase again.
"I've been thinking about that so much," Mizrahi tells Zap2it. "'Sex and the City' really brought us to that place, because not only was it those four different and well-defined characters, but [costume designer] Patricia Field served them every single week with the styling and the clothes. That was really a master stroke.
"I look at TV now and think there are some shows that look wonderful," Mizrahi adds. "For instance, 'The Good Wife' looks great, and Julianna [Margulies] looks great in those clothes. It's a kind of business dress,...

The rumors are false Destiny’s Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time. Bravo just announced that fashion icon Iman will join the second season of The Fashion Show as Isaac Mizrahi's co-host. Isaac's previous partner Kelly Rowland will not be returning.
You may remember that The Fashion Show was the series that Bravo created to fill the void left when Project Runway moved to Lifetime. We thought for sure, how could another show, with the exact same premise, possibly live up to the reality TV classic?
But, it did. We love The Fashion Show almost as much as Runway. And while Isaac is no Tim Gunn, we think Iman will be a welcome addition in mentoring the hopeful fashion designers and judging their creations.
Plus we're hoping this means Iman's hubby, rock star and fashion icon in his own right, David Bowie might stop by to participate in a challenge.

ABC is pushing "Happy Town" off to a summertime slot after two weeks of weak ratings.
The mystery series will still air on Wednesday (May 12) as scheduled, but it will be bumped for "Primetime: What Would You Do?" on May 19 (the movie "Transformers" is scheduled for 8 to 11 p.m. on May 26, opposite the "American Idol" finale). The show will return to the lineup at 10 p.m. Et June 2 and run through the rest of the month; its finale is scheduled for June 30.
"Happy Town" has had a rough start in the ratings. Its April 28 premiere averaged 5.2 million viewers, and last week's episode fell to 3.9 million viewers.
- MTV has picked up an American version of the British series "Skins."
The cable channel has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which has been a critical darling in the U.K. for its frank portrayal of teenage life -- complete with sex, drugs and raunchy humor.

Some Bravolebrities will be giving their own take on The Kentucky Derby with 'Ladies First: Bravo At The Kentucky Derby' live Friday, April 30 at 5 p.m.
The one-hour special, produced by NBC Sports and hosted by Bravo's Andy Cohen, will give you the network's spin on The Derby: food, fashion and the "celebrity experience."
Live from Churchill Downs, here are a few things you can expect on the special:
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Dina Manzo and "Flipping Out's" Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos join Cohen to celebrate a day covering the fashion and festivities of the big race.
"The Fashion Show's" Isaac Mizrahi dresses "Today" show correspondent Natalie Morales for the festivities.
"Top Chef" stars Michael Voltaggio, Jennifer Carroll and Eli Kirshtein will be cooking live from the Infield Club.
Sounds like our type of Kentucky Derby!
Will you be saddling up with the Bravo stars?...
