- We invite you to explore Dr. Egg's Laboratory, collect items through the pages from Vivis Adventure, The Stolen Square Tomato, and play a combination mini-game to make prize winning combinations.
- In a magical, sometimes sinister world of scientific discoveries, where even the impossible seems real (think glowing animals and giant corncobs!), greedy Professor Mole has taken control with his giant Seed Corporation (SEEDCORP). His industrial complex, located high on a windy hill near the Techno-towers, includes a giant seed-house, a floating corn-shaped seedship and a hive of testing laboratories, forming the beating heart of a ruthless biotech empire. Reaching throughout the colourful and sparkling Techno towers, to the grim hovels of the Slumlanes, and even the dry brown dust bowl of the Corn-farmlands, nowhere is untouched by SEEDCORP.
Throughout the empire, haves and have not's abound, and in the slums and farms starvation and food shortages are everyday occurrences. Inhabitants from the poorer areas live in fear as any time, day or night, SEEDCORP vans driven by Mole's hybrid helpers kidnap animals and children and take them to the laboratories as test subjects for the next biological breakthrough. As Professor Mole ruthlessly experiments on children and animals to try and find the secrets to life, he also collects every living seed with the hope of one day controlling the entire world's food and energy supplies.
Meanwhile, Professor Mole's nemesis, Dr Egg, a curious and altruistic scientist, continues to make unique discoveries and find solutions to help the world. Dr Egg's Laboratories stand beside the monstrous SEEDCORP industrial complex, acting like a thorn in Professor Mole's side. This is where Dr Egg creates small, often therapeutic biological inventions, such as the handy square tomato and the famous glow in the dark chicken's bottom. As well he creates biological devices to track activities in Mole's totalitarian empire. Dr Egg can never forget the theft of his first invention, the famous square tomato, which made Dr Mole a millionaire. Now Dr Egg has created a spying, flying hybrid tomato to track his nemesis and reclaim these stolen brainchildren.
As Professor Mole's greed continues to grow out of control, little does he suspect that three special kids will enter his world and change it's future forever. There's Cornelia, from the Corn-farmlands, conceived after her mother and father ate some of Professor Mole's magical corn. She possesses special powers like talking to animals; no wonder Professor Mole is keen to steal her secrets. Then there's Vivi from the Slum-lanes, a do a lot with not a lot girl who loves to recycle. She's the daughter of a man who has lost his ear in an accident with a snappy bull terrier. Vivi will do anything to make her father happy, and desperately hopes to grow him a new ear. Finally there's Ardash, the boy with no belly button from the Techno-towers, who's literally perfect. He's been protected from every disease but still he's not happy. He's leaving home in search of the disease that killed his father, and might just find it at Professor Mole, or Dr Egg's, door. Each of the three books follows one of the kids' ethical and scientific dilemmas, in the form of 'subplots' or side adventures, at the same time as building towards the overall three book adventure, of the Seedstorm. For instance by the end of the Book 1 we have completed one specific character's side-adventure: namely Vivi from Slum-lanes, who goes to Dr Egg to grow her father a new ear, and creates a tank child which she must then decide whether to rescue or destroy.
