- there is a lot of smoking throughout this movie and it is typical during the 1970's. Also in one scene where Steven and his grandpa went to the milk place they met up with three women, and one tough bald-headed guy. The three women, or least one of them looked like she smoked pot and that is because she was high as a kite. Again during the 1960's and 1970's, pot (marijuana), along with LSD ad other drugs were prevalent during this time.
