The only episode that is slightly reminiscent of the SATC that we remember
mcdougall-ashleyjane13 January 2022
I'm probably being generous with a score of 8 for this episode, only because this episode felt like it had remnants of the writing style and humor that was in the original SATC that built the fan base. It's also the first episode that doesn't piss WOKE culture into the carpet and rub your face into it. I feel like this episode finally addressed the actual issues that I thought would be dealt with when I heard about the concept for AJLT with the realities of ghosting, intimacy issues after being married for so long, fertility issues and of course, love after loss. I honestly am very disappointed and bored with the series as a whole and only continue to watch it because I do enjoy seeing all the former series regulars on the show, but cant stomach the weak writing and how they redeveloped these once bold and loveable characters into hollow, geriatric versions of their former selves...like a bad high school reunion (great to see everyone, shocked that this is what they've made if themselves and you leave not wanting to revisit the past ever again)

But like I said, one of the better episodes up until the 25 minute mark (you'll get it, not that I'm a hater) but the fashion is an upgrade, there is an effort at ridiculous comedic situations that our girl Carrie would always bring upon herself and it doesn't hurt that the more "toxic" characters have very little screen time or dialogue. If you're ready to give up on the series, this episode gives you a little bit of hope and if not that, a little refresher on how our girls used to be.

Sorry, not sorry

A few really good laughs, and some interesting developments for a few of the characters. Love Carrie in this series, her maturity and attitude unmatched. The couples fighting didn't bring much development or laughs.

Great Laughs
rich-fouts18 January 2022
This episode paid homage to its SATC predecessor with some good laugh-out-loud comedic moments. The relationship between Charlotte and Lisa is lovely to watch; it's authentic and honest.

I get that Miranda's discovering herself and that her marriage is unfulfilling, but why did the writer's do it at Steve's expense? They don't have to make him a dull idiot just because Miranda isn't getting her needs met. Steve is a good guy and to turn him into a bit of a jerk doesn't feel right. And why the hearing loss? The writers seem to be using his diluted hearing as a reason to like him less.

I don't get the problem

It is a very well written and very well executed show. Everyone gets older and they adjusted the show accordingly. Certainly a show you will even more appreciate when you are living in New York!

Felt like the old days....

A good mix of comedy & silly fun, with some couple bickering, a date going wrong (haven't we all had at least one of those...), looks like the show can slowly turn away from the sad loss, with a glimpse of hope for the future. I enjoyed it.

Justice for Steve!
jordanbrock-4529714 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Steve did not have the charm of Mr. Big, but I always found him endearing in the original. I loved his relationship with Miranda-it was real and they balanced each other out well. I think turning Miranda's character into exactly who Cynthia Nixon is in real life is a mistake. It just does not feel accurate or true to the spirit of the show. And poor Steve! They really are giving him the worst storylines.

And please not another Che Diaz comedy concert!!!! I find the character insufferable and find it comical how random they will throw her character into the storyline. Che Diaz at a private school fundraiser? Really?

I, however, did thoroughly enjoy watching Carrie's first date after the Big's death and did genuinely laugh a few times throughout the episode, but it does not make up to what they have done to Miranda's character.

I enjoy it

I really enjoy the show and look forward to each episode. The girls are older and so are their relationships. I think it's entertaining to see how they are dealing with "life" as a woman getting older.

There is no hope

Warning: Spoilers
Two stars for getting the widow dating angst correct and for SJP's white dress she wore to the auction. The rest of the episode was cringe worthy. Charlotte looks like an idiot in her girlish dresses as the writers have her behaving like an entitled child. What have they done to "elderly" Steve? Not only doesn't he measure up to the college professor's hip husband, poor Steve doesn't remember how to manually satisfy his wife. That's okay since Miranda quickly jumps into bed with Che, a topless scene nobody needed to witness. There is so much wrong with this episode the viewer will see for themselves. Please, no second season for this terrible series.

Keep up with the good work!

Every week I am looking forward to watch the next episode. What's going on between Che and Miranda is sooo exciting. After all those years, watching them again, how their lifes' has been evolving, how they handle challenges are pretty amazing. I love seeing them in new adventures and how they are there for each other every single time.

MY CYNTHIA NIXON
douglasjordane30 January 2022
MY CYNTHIA NIXON BONER WAS TRULY NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN...BUT YOU'LL BE GLAD TO KNOW IT WAS NOT VULGAR. IT WAS MEANT TO BE SINCERE.

I'VE GOT A THING FOR HOW THIS NEW SHOW HAS BEEN WRITTEN AND DIRECTED. IT'S NO DIFFERENT THAN THE BRILLIANCE OF SEX AND THE CITY. BUT FOR SOME REASON IT HITS DIFFERENTLY...IN A GOOD WAY! UNAPOLOGETICALLY!.

CHE.

Just sad
lhollan14 January 2022
These women are sad, nasty, confused about life in 2021, and no longer interesting. Just hope they don't bring back Aiden and also ruin that great character. This Sex and the City revisit was a bad idea. Really bad.

A better episode but with scenes that I will definitely cut
MidoriAi28 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The scene with Charlotte and her friend.. didn't care. Pointless and boring. Who cares? And: who cares about the life of these boring rich women?

Now a days you can't write or say something that is full of positivity.. what is called: toxic positivism. It is part of the crystal generation that fells offended for everything and want to be protected, the woke and PC movement. I hate this new way of thinking that some retarded and evil people put on some unbalanced people, the minority, and the rest of us has to dance accordingly. I will not.

That's why I didn't like when Carrie's publisher wanted to put a positivity end on her book.

Even tho that, I like that she came back to her old habits of going out there to research for her column. She used an app to meet a men, and she did. It was a funny scene when the 2 of them came out of the restaurant and vomit allover, but it was unrealistic too.. (yeah yea it is a tv show i know i don't care)

And talking about that book... I don't see the frivolous Carrie writing any. Just the first one that was the compilation of some of her columns.. and even then it feels unrealistic. Her way of viewing life, men, etc is twisted, narcissistic and childish (at least) She has nothing to say that adds something of value. And as I see trough these episodes, as years passed, she didn't got any wiser.

What's happening to Miranda's matrimony regarding sex is true and it is more realistic than what she did in the past few episodes. It is more relatable.. Remember that, writers of tv shows? Being relatable?

But later on she go ahead and have sex with Che... I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEE SOFT PORN, OR SEX, SPECIALLY GAY SEX.

Disgusting..

At the charity auction (those events that rich people do instead of just donating their money and that's it) Carrie was the winner of having the worse date. Anthony sh!tting his pants in 7th grade on a date wasn't bad enough. No Carrie, Anthony was the winner here.

You can't be the winner or the focus of attention around Carrie, and I bet, around SJP.

I like the math teacher character.
