don't listen to Caveman

Not sure what caveman is talking about in his review, but I can easily say to ignore that comment. It's certainly not a 1 out of 10.

This is a low-budget short film. And it's concept and delivery is smart and funny. If you don't appreciate the horror comedy genre, then this movie is not for you. If you don't like mockumentaries, this movie is not for you. It is done in a Ken Burns-style documentary about the Zombie Civil Rights movement.

The audience I saw this film with very much appreciated it and laughed throughout. It also stars known comedians as interviewed historians. Festivals are full of duds and poorly shot films with bad sound. This is not one of them. Please don't let cavemen deter you from checking this funny little short if it's screened near you.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm just feeling compelled to write a review for this film. My partner and I caught it at a film festival in Coney Island last year, and we laughed and laughed. We thought it a thoroughly charming film, were much entertained. Then again, we do enjoy 'all things zombie'. It's a perfectly charming after dinner zombie aperitif. It's the perfect length for what it is:– I'm glad they didn't try to expand it to feature length, and also let it be the length it is. Despite the "low budget" it has a very polished feel; the quality of the sound, the editing, the camera and lights, all these 'elements' of film are solid -- which works for the film and the genre here. I don't want to be a spoiler, (although I see that the trailer is in a way__) as the premise IS a lot of what the film is, in one sense. It's a premise, which holds up (with dandy visuals and cool jokes) for the whole short 30 minutes. The narrator takes the perfect tone, as does Rae C Wright and the rest of the cast -funny folks, and we loved the premise__. So yeah, check out the trailer, it's the perfect preview of this particular film. Some trailers are not; this one is. I did laugh! Enjoy!

Wasted Time

I really hate it when I see someone writing this or that movie was a waste of time... But the producers of this mock documentary did just that.. This isn't up to a High School Arts School project level of quality...

I was hoping for something as thought provoking or entertaining as C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America...

However; I kept watching until the very end hoping it would get better, but alas it was not meant to be... Everyone involved in this production needs to look for work in another industry... They are just not qualified to work in the entertainment field..
