freshly twisted comedy
twoaday20 February 2009
Chandler Simm's first film paints a darkly cute portrait of modern American. Set in an uncomfortably familiar environment that every viewer can identify with - the doctor's office - "Paging Dr. Smith" preys on some of our deepest fears with a brave-yet-light comedic touch. For his cinematic debut, Simms has delivered a inspiring accomplishment with his freshly twisted comedy. One wonders what other awry surprises may be explored in his future projects.

An additional mention should be made of the cleverly crafted title sequence which deftly sets the tone of a film that is about to reveal layered surprises.
