- The four teams continue the leg in Beijing, China. One team struggles with the language barrier, becoming frustrated with their taxi driver. A trip to the toilet in sight of the Pit Stop costs another team a place in the final three.
- (The second half of the to be continued...)
Beijing, China Jaime and Cara think they've won their first leg, only to be told they're not done racing. Back into the cab they go. Margie and Luke are rooting for Tammy and Victor and Jaime and Cara to make it. They make it to Phil second. Margie and Luke are sort of wearing on each other other.
Jamie and Cara reach the clue box. They have to search the shops of a street mall for the Travelocity gnome.
Kisha and Jen reach Phil and he gives them the news that they're still in it in his best serious voice. Kisha responds with a "shut the hell up." Jen's glad she didn't cost them the race.
The teams search shops for gnomes - Tammy and Victor walk right by one. Margie and Luke find one that directs them to Gu Gong Xi Bei Jiao to find electric bikes. They ride those through the Forbidden City (Tammy translates that this is Gu Gong) and to Dongdan Subway station where they'll find their next clue.
Jaime and Cara find the next gnome. They can't find cab drivers who know where they're going. They leave in third and Jaime gets mad at the cab driver - again.
As dawn is breaking Tammy and Victor hop on the bikes first. Margie and Luke find them second -- nearly running over Jen and Kisha after they get on them -- and Jaime and Cara, thanks to some bad cab driving, end up in last. They all bike through Tiananmen square and Tammy and Victor find the clue box. It's a detour. They have to choose between two local professions. Beijing Opera or Chinese waiter. For opera they make each other up like opera performers for inspection and for waiter they have to take orders in Mandarin and wait for the food to be prepared. Tammy and Victor go with waiters. Kisha and Jen go with opera. Margie and Luke and Jaime and Cara opt for opera.
Tammy and Victor show off their Chinese language skills on their way into the restaurant but don't quite place the orders properly for the chef. He sends them back. Jen and Kisha start making each other up and Margie and Luke show up. Luke cakes his mom's face with powder and doesn't exactly apply a professional's touch.
"He made me look like Alice Cooper," Margie says. She keeps checking his progress in the mirror, forcing him to stop each time. They get frustrated with each other.
Next to them Kisha and Jen power through and go to get dressed.
Tammy and Victor repeat the order and Victor insists on saying everything at the same time as Tammy.
Jaime and Cara finally get a taxi and explain where they're going by singing. Tammy and Victor get the clue. They have to make their way somewhere on foot, where a U-Turn awaits them. If a team uses it, they have to post their own picture and will be held accountable to the team they slowed down.
Jen and Kisha get the clue. Tammy and Victor take no time at all to decide to U-Turn Jen and Kisha. They hop a cab toward the pit stop.
Outside the opera still all made up Kisha and Jen ask for directions and have problems communicating. Jaime and Cara's cab take them to National Opera instead of Beijing Opera.
Tammy and Victor find the clue box. There's a road block. One person has to scarf down grasshoppers, larvae, scorpions and starfish. Victor is ready to dive in but they stop him and fry it first. He finds beetle larvae crunchy and spongy. As Jaime and Cara search for a cab to the right opera house Kisha and Jen and Margie and Luke look for the U-Turn. Victor makes his way through the scorpion and dives into grasshoppers. Jaime and Cara finally find the opera house. Victor finishes munching on grubs and gets the next clue to the pit stop to Niao Chao, also known as the "Birds Nest" from the Olympics.
As Margie and Luke look for the U-Turn Margie says it'd be nice if Tammy and Victor U-Turned Jen and Kisha. Jaime and Cara leave in make-up and hope the same thing. All three teams are still walking. A woman tells Margie what they're looking for is in the opera house. The U-Turn was right in the lobby.
Tammy and Victor arrive at the Bird's Nest and run for Phil. They're in first and in the final three. They won an eight day trip for two to the Galapagos Islands with a trained naturalist.
Jaime and Cara and Kisha and Jen are near meltdown on the street, still looking for the U-Turn. Kisha and Jen finally find it and see they've been U-Turned. They head to perform the waiter task.
Margie starts munching on fried bugs. Kisha and Jen try to take orders and write them down phonetically. Fried Chicken becomes Monthly Use Taiwanese Chicken. Vegetarian Noodles becomes Good Western Heads Lack Fish. The chef sends them back. "We're black, not Chinese," Jen says. Jaime and Cara still haven't found the U-Turn and are near total collapse.
Margie earns her clue and Jen and Kisha finally get the orders right.
Jaime and Cara beg a man to show them where they're going - they've spent three hours looking for the U-Turn.
Kisha and Jen serve the diners and are in third on the way to the Bird's Nest.
Out the street one of the cheerleaders whines, "this is why I did not want to go to China. It sucks." Finally, Jaime suggests they go back to the opera.
Jen starts eating the fried bits. Jaime and Cara finally find the U-Turn and start blaming each other as they get in the cab.
Margie and Luke find Phil. They're in second. Margie says that in the beginning she thought she was doing this for Luke, but she's having such a great time.
Jaime and Cara pull up and start eating as Jen gnaws on something that does not seem to want to be chewed. Cara dives in, eating huge pieces as Jen takes tiny bites -- and then Jen pukes midway through. Jaime watches Cara in awe as she plows through. Kisha and Jen look for a cab as Cara finishes.
Jaime and Cara hop in a cab and hope they can catch the sisters. Jen has to pee really badly and wants to ask Phil if she can go before he checks them in. She finds a port-a-potty as they stop at the Bird's Nest. Jaime and Cara pull up and start looking. Both teams search for Phil. One sees him. We don't see who as they run up in full opera garb.
It's Jaime and Cara. A little bit later, Kisha and Jen get the bad news. They've been eliminated. Jen cries when she realizes it came down to the bathroom break. Phil says it came down to seconds. "I'm not going to say she lost it for us because she's a big part of why we got this far. We worked as a team together," Kisha says. "We've grown as people and as sisters," Jen says. "I enjoyed every minute of it."
Next week: The season finale. A Hawaiian luau has teams in bikinis hauling pigs. Jaime yells at a cab driver again.
