Tavi is a non-binary kid, pronoun they/them. Their father is struggling with mental issues and attends group therapy. Tavi encounters adult stranger Julian and they become fast friends despite suspicions from many others. Julian is on probation and is struggling to find work.
These are fascinating characters. There are some interesting individual scenes. This needs an overall story to generate drama. I'm guessing that Brielle Brilliant wrote these scenes from personal experiences but the movie needs construction to create an actual story for these characters.
