I See You (a short film) by Cinti Laird
writepayment12 August 2014
This is a really well written short. The young actors at the center of the action all offer dynamic performances supported by the two seasoned adult professionals. They put viewers through a roller coaster of emotion. In a very short span of time, I found myself impressed with Ms. Laird's African accent, the stoic nature of actor Ron Douglass' character in the face of boyhood drama compliments the charm he brings to the humor in the script. I See You by Cinti Laird is actually entertainment for sharing with family and friends - perfect for prime time. I can see this humorous short being developed into a full length film and/or a prime time network series sit-com. The characters are likable and you could easily fall in love with them. Obviously this teaser left this reviewer wanting more!
