One of my favourite documentaries, 13 Most Shocking Hollywood Curses explores some of the most interesting series of coincidences in Hollywoods past and present. The 27 Club is definitely the most ominous out of the bunch. Whether the others come off to you as just journalists or theorists grasping at straws to make a case, or explaining how the time period or the victims involved brought themselves to their fates, the 27 Club is the most intriguing of The Hollywood curses.
Before I watched it the first time, I'd already heard about the curse surrounding films like The Exorcist, or Poltergeist, but I never imagined a 'curse' based around the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. It's even more chilling when you get to see news articles and news reports covering the deaths of celebrities involved in these supposed curses. The way it's edited and animated makes it appear very eerie, and only draws you in even more. If you came across this on TV it would definitely make you fascinated and unease you for what came next.
Even, like I said, the journalists and celebrities interviewed for this documentary sometimes come across like they're grasping at straws to explain these curses, such as with the John Lennon curse, it's still interesting to listen to. I'll say give it a watch, and make your own conclusions.
