Has potential

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was an improvement upon the last. I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first. The jokes are very unfunny and consistently make me groan. Also, the show feels the constant need to put political commentary wherever it can. I don't necessarily disagree with the messages that it's promoting, but it doesn't need to constantly tell you what to think. However, there were good things as well. Victor Zsasz was a decent enough villain. It was really nice to see Ryan become her own Batwoman rather than trying to be Kate. Also, the new suit looks good. Safiyah has potential as a main villain. Her and her lackeys are very similar to Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins on Arrow, along with the desert rose being similar to the Lazarus Pit. The League was a fairly interesting concept on Arrow, so I hope that Batwoman can do it at least as well. Lastly, Alice's backstory with Safiyah could be interesting if done right, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. Overall, this is the best episode of Batwoman aside from Crisis, and I hope it can keep this momentum going and make this season decent.

It s ok

Only good thing is they brought Victor Szasz, visual effects still for early 2000, in this show i liked Alice she is ok for acting, I really hipe this season will be the last one ..becouse if they don't make any money the show will become more and more boring and low budget and that is not helping a superhero tv show.

The new girl rocks as Batwoman. She's done a great job and is better than Ruby Rose.

Alright, I think I'm done watching now.

Warning: Spoilers
Whenever I watch a show, I usually tune into three episodes to see if the show's worth watching. That's how I started on Blindspot, and I'm enjoying it so far. I gave Batwoman three episodes to impress me this season, and I think it's safe to say that I'm done watching. I only watched through season 1 of this show because of the ties to Crisis, but considering that there's no more crossover this year, I don't have to watch this show.

I think the premiere had more merit than people give it credit for. There was more in that episode that I liked than I didn't. Overall, that was a 6/10 for me, which is pretty good for this show's standards. The second episode was a trainwreck. Established characters weren't acting like themselves, the poisoned bats made literally no sense with the show's established logic, and don't even get me started on Alice. She needed to die a season ago, but she's still around. No less than three characters had the chance to kill her, but didn't. 3/10.

This episode though reaches a new low. First off, when did the batarangs stop being batarangs? Aren't they supposed to have boomerang-like properties? Isn't an rpg supposed to explode when it hits a surface? Why didn't it explode when it hit the window then? These are basic logistical things that the writers are ignoring here. At least have the decency to adhere to real world logic, writers.

Victor Zsasz... Wasn't completely horrible. He's the only reason this episode isn't a 1/10. He was fun. Then again though, he was also totally wasted. Ryan went all "Yass queen, slay" on his ass in the one fight scene of the episode, and knocked him out by extending the bo-staff, which also seems like it defies the logic of real world science. Plus, him talking about not "seeing the you in Batwoman" literally made me cringe. And also, that being the reason Ryan changes the wig is beyond stupid.

The stuff on "fantasy island" with Alice and Safiyah is beyond ridiculous. So... Apparently Safiyah not only didn't kill Kate, but she's also holding Kate captive. So, I guess Kate's still alive. Let me remind everyone that there was two voiceovers that Ruby Rose could've done for episodes 1 and 2, but didn't. Rose isn't coming back. She's done! So either Safiyah's lying, or Kate's back as a new actress. If Safiyah's lying, why not just kill Alice? If she's not, why not just announce that Kate's being recast instead of giving us a jarring transition between seasons 1 and 2? Neither decision makes any sort of sense.

And finally, I have to talk about Vesper Fairchild. This lady out here about to get herself cancelled. How she still has a career is beyond me. She knows what she said, and she knows how people in 2021 react to that kind of stuff. The only explanation for her still having a career is that the writers don't care enough about the implications of what their characters say. And if the writers don't care, why should the audience?

Overall, this episode solidified my resolve to not watch this show anymore. But hey, at least Black Lightning premieres next week, so I've got that to look forward to.

Also, did nobody get the Joker easter egg and lowkey confirmation of Black Mask maybe being the season's main villain? My ears perked up at that, certainly, but it was too little, too late.

BLACK ROCKS
douglasjordane3 February 2021
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STONES AND ROCKS BUT THE WELL MEANINGFUL BATWOMAN SUBSTITUTE IS A VERY HARD SELL ON PREMISE ALONE. I ACTUALLY DONT CARE IF ITS A RUBY OR A JAVICIA AS THE HEROINE. WHAT MATTERS MOST IS IF THE SHOW IS KICKASS!

TONIGHT, THE NEW BAT WOMAN ACHIEVED SOME MEASURE OF SUCCESS DESPITE HOW POORLY WRITTEN THE SHOW IS. I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS THE NEW COSTUME OR THE NEW HOPE BUT I'M HAPPY AGAIN. MAYBE IT'S THAT OL' BLACK GIRL MAGIC THAT ROCKS OF AGES AND STAGES. STAY ON CODE BATWOMAN!!!

Show all over the place

Warning: Spoilers
I think cw definitely made a gaint mistake with the plot. Kate dies in a plane crash and the only person they can find to be the dark kinght is not sophie or Julia pennyworth ,who has actually worn the cape and cowl before . There only hope is to give arguably the most dangerous weapon on the planet to some homeless chick they met a couple of days ago🙄 . It completely goes against everything we know and love about the dark knight , how he does not trust anyone and keeps his business in the family. This show is unsalvageable , it had so many holes in the plot .eg how can make adjustments to the suit ? A multi million dollars suit made by the greatest mind on the planet without even having a basic engineering degree. The show at the point of no return not, even victor and black mask can save it . No amout of our favorite batman villains or the boywonder himself can make it bearable . The new villain safaya is a non convincing rip of of raysh al ghule and Damian darkh .the idea of batwoman is a great one however the execution has gotten to the point of no return. Its disappointing for batman fans who were really looking forward to it. Maybe cw should try the whole batwoman thing again.
