Beyoncé’s Renaissance is so much more than a concert film. It’s a superhero epic—as if Bey is filling the void left by The Marvels or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It’s a glorious three-hour tour of the Queen in all her creative splendor, on her record-setting Renaissance World Tour from this past summer. The movie would be a blast if it were merely a jubilant live performance, but it’s also a documentary of a year in Bey’s life. “I spent so much of my life a serial people-pleaser,...

Following the fervor over Taylor Swift‘s The Eras Tour, AMC Theatres has issued a set of guidelines for the Beyhive as fans make their way to see Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé that includes asking moviegoers to take off costume pieces during the movie that could block the view for others, such as hats and wings.
The theater chain — which is also distributing both films — released the guidelines as the superstar’s concert movie opens across North America, where it’s on course for a better-than-expected $21 million-$24 opening after earning a coveted A+ CinemaScore and stellar reviews.
Like the Swifties, the Beyhive are encouraged to take selfies, dress up and sing during the screenings. They also are given the same warnings about not recording the actual film, not dancing on seats or blocking fellow theatergoers from “viewing, safely walking or exiting the auditorium,” according to the guidelines, which are posted on AMC’s website.

It’s not all bragging, though. During a softer moment, the singer intones,...

Every year, the Kailey Marsh-fronted BloodList makes waves in the industry as it reveals several high-profile horror screenplays that are available in the market. This year, due in part to the strikes, there won’t be a 15th edition, but we still wanted to celebrate the annual list and look back at some of the monstrous success stories.
“While we aren’t releasing the 15th edition in 2023, due in part to the WGA strike and the timeline to when we would accept submissions, it’s a good time to look back at the scripts and writers that have been featured on the list over the years,” Kailey tells us via release.
“From Dan Erickson, creator of the hit series “Severance”, thanking BloodList in his acceptance speech at the Hca’s for “best series writing”, to having countless writers tell me how much landing on the BloodList has done for their careers,...
