Shot in temperatures of over 115 degrees, it was determined, with only four hours of production time remaining, that the gunfight scene could not be done. Director of Photography, Steve Wargo, declared that he and Anthony T. Miles would shoot the gunfight scene 4 times, in immediate succession, from 4 different angles using two Sony F-900 cameras. The actors ran the scene and, with 5 minutes to reset the scene, ran the scene again. They pulled it off in grand style. Producers Casanova and Moore played the bad guys while star/director Dillon, played in almost every shot while directing from the set.
Every actor on set was wearing perfect "period" clothing.
All of the guns used were authentic and were valued at over $100,000
The shoot was originally scheduled for April but was moved to mid June because the producers wanted to accommodate Tombstone (1993) actor, Peter Sherayko.
The crew found a 10 foot long diamondback rattle snake in the middle of the set at 5am on day 2.
