The comedy writing needs work; too cliché-y. It's mostly the boys are physical comedy and the girls go in a little deeper. Needs to be more random, less methodic. Feel like writers need to research more classic comedy and adapt that to the times. It's not about hitting certain marks to satisfy a checklist, but more about creating organic moments.

Aninarion is fine. Voices will take time getting used to since there are varying differences from the old one. I think the show has potential in creating iconic moments, but the writing has to be top priority, since it will be what people talk about the most.

I feel like this show has a lot of potential. The art style is awesome, i absolutely love the way that all the characters and backgrounds are drawn. Also, I personally always tend to enjoy when these looney tunes reboots eliminate/limit the side character segments and focus on the main characters. That being said, the episodes i've watched so far just haven't been all that funny. A lot of the writing tends to fall flat. Some of the jokes are good but i'd be willing to say that at least half of them don't land. I think this reboot definitely has the potential to be pretty good but comedy-wise the writing needs to be improved on.

I will be honest; I wasn't really too enthusiastic about this when it was announced. Not necessarily because I don't think the original series (which I grew up on) should be touched, or because I didn't like any of the changes made to the new series, but rather because nine times out of 10 most reboots or revivals of television series don't work out very well.

To my surprise though, this one actually is pretty good. I actually was interested in watching the whole first season on MAX. It is definitely different from its original series in more ways than one, but the people involved seem to really have done the work to justify and execute the concepts for this new production while still retaining the zany and optimistic spirit of the original. Most if not every joke lands to a degree, and there are actually pretty good messages that will resonate with most people.

The new voices are also pretty good, and I have to say the animation is for the most part very expressive and creative.

Here is hoping they don't drop the ball come the next season.

Remember in the original when the episodes animated by Kennedy Cartoons were deemed atrocious and had to be corrected? Well compared to the static episodes by the current Philippine studio Snipple Animation, they look like Disney in comparison! Because what made Tiny Toon different was that compared to other series they had double the frame count. Now we are returning to even worse frame numbers....

Season 1 main issue was that the episodes were mostly limited within the school.

Season 2 and Spring Break Special at last make a venture outside the school, trying different settings and scripts and approaching the original series adventure element and trying to improve it. Or so I thought.

But alas, instead of trying to change pace for once, they fall into the same repetitive sitcom dialogues reminiscent of other non-LT related series. Of course original Tiny Toons had some sitcom too, but it was not exclusively a sitcom series like this one here!

The Spring Break Special especially was atrocious! There is no Break at all, just the same repetitive dialogues.

Only exception is the glimpse to the siblings family, but 1 good decision can not make up for 10 bad ones.

As if the writers and creators were one dimensional and had no idea to do anything different, which I do not believe is true. Eg the King Tweety movie had not much in common with the classic LT either, especially the atrocious art style, but at least it tried to do something different and kept my interest and had some action and adventure.

I feel that even the worst Tiny Toon Adventures episodes are better than this. Plucky is the exception but even so he can not compare to the original Plucky.

An exception was the space episode but only because they tried to follow the decent Duck Dodgers TV series.

Hope that season 2B is the last one and that they leave this franchise to rest. A pity that Steven Spielberg instead of reminding us that he was a TV animation innovator, surrendered Tiny Toons and Animaniacs to staff that never understood the old LT and WB cartoons.

Because the original producers even grew with Looney Tunes shorts on cinema as kids.

Lemme just say, I'm a sucker for classic cartoons of my childhood and even at age 29, I can say I watched the OG Tiny Toons still to this day. When i first heard about the reboot, I was skeptical of it due to the main change of Buster and Babs Bunny being siblings but I gave it a chance, watched an episode and I can safely say they still got it despite the changes. Some parts I feel like somethings missing... I guess its the slapstick comedy style? Its hard to tell but the show itself definitely holds up well. You cant kill a classic but you can revive nostalgia. Its a great show overall. Love it.

I'm sorry. Babs and Buster have never been related. They were romantic interests all throughout the 90s. They stated "no relation" as a catchphrase. Minnie and Mickey are both Mouse, but they're not related. It would be crazy for a reboot to occur and suddenly they're cousins. That's basically what they did here. It kills the nostalgia. Saved by the Bell did a college series too. Can you imagine if Zack and Kelly were suddenly fraternal twins? Sorry but it's a hard pass for me. I haven't watched but I'm assuming they also took away all of Bab's flirtatious personality. Why aren't cartoons allowed to be fun anymore?

Although everything seems to get a reboot or revival at some point nowadays, god it's great to see these characters back on screen again after so long. Tiny Toon Adventures will always have a very special place in my heart, so as soon this was announced I started rewatching the series with my kids to introduce it to them and get ready for the new show together.

As far as Looniversity, take it from a lifelong fan of all things WB cartoons that this show is a ton of fun & absolutely lives up to the Tiny Toons name. I love the dynamics between the sets of roommates between the 5 main characters. The Buster Vs. Plucky feud will never not be hilarious to me, especially with Hamton always being stuck in the middle of the mayhem. & I like the changes to Sweetie Bird & elevating her to a main character now to be best buds with Babs. I also find myself loving just spotting different Toons appearing around campus during the episodes, taking part in dorm pizza parties or attending class being held by the legendary Looney Tune mentors. I am for sure missing the absence of some particular Toons like Fowl Mouth, Montana Max & Elmyra, but we haven't seen the whole season yet so fingers crossed.

I'll end by saying that if you come in to this and find yourself feeling negatively towards it because it's not exactly like the OG Tiny Toons and you don't like some of the changes, you obviously never learned your lesson from watching literally any reboot/revival over the past 5+ years. Nothing will ever be the exact same as you remember it. Although the voice cast is different & there's definitely some differences in style & format compared to the original, the characters remain as likable and entertaining as ever providing plenty of Looney mayhem in all its glory. Fans have been waiting decades for the return of Buster, Babs, Plucky and the rest of the Toons and I hope old and now new fans alike appreciate this new show as much as my family & I do. Can't wait to finish the season & see what else is in store at the Looniversity!!

I was a fan of the original, loved the art, jokes, could n't count the times my friends and family laughed and quoted the original.

I was excited to hear it was back, but boy, was I disappointed, the childish art, the change to the mythos Babs and Busters twins?

This is very disappointing that in this day and age with CG, and top notch art, we have to suffer this colouring book art, and terrible jokes.

Typical Max offerings for shows. I think i will go back to my streaming of the originals.

Hey, if this your jam, great. But as an old fan, this is a terrible mistake, lazy art, lazy writing.

I have an obsession with Tiny Toons. I've even had the change to meet and spend time with the original artist. But this show is a pale comparison of any other Tiny Toons show.

The voice are all off, the voice actors delivery is horrible, the jokes aren't funny. The storylines are just bad.

I was excited to seen this pop up on Max. But watching it has just been a disappointment.

I can usually deal with voice changes, but everyone is new. But everything else about the show is just a letdown as well.

What happened to the voice actors and writers from the previous show or if anyone is a carryover how did it all go so wrong.

And where did Steven Spielberg go this time around !

Another review from a guy in his early 40s here. I totally get how younger kids would dig this as the YouTube age has totally wrecked the attention span of kids. I'm sure the test audience for this show was 6-11 year olds and who had to go 30 min without their iPad and and it kept failing until they sped everything up to the point where there was zero time between dialogue. I really want to judge this show on its own merits but I have to compare apples and oranges here and say this: The original was witty and had trust in their writing staff that kids are smart enough to get the jokes. This show almost gives me anxiety cause it's just go go go. As much as I miss cell animation I still think the show looks great. The new voice actors are good, especially with just how fast they gotta spew out their lines. I was really excited for this show, because I think the new Animaniacs was pretty solid.

This is just awful the og tiny toons is one of the greatest cartoons ever made if not the greatest of the 90s with witty humor brilliant gags and a gigant cast of memorable characters. The fact it was the very first cartoon to use a higher animation cel count than any cartoon before it right at the starts of the 90s in 1990, Nobody understands how revolutionary the original cartoon was for instance when the direct to dvd film cameout that was originally supposed to be a theatrical release the film performed so well it erased the stigma of "bad direct to dvd" animation that it eventually inspired Disney to make the Aladdin dvd movie sequels that also did well and the countless others. With a legacy that great its almost impossible for a reboot of any kind to hope to achieve or come close to and this reboot fails, from bad stiff rigged animation that makes the visual Gags just look bland and off, the mediocre voice acting, the only character that sounded somewhat similar in personality was plucky Rip Joe Alaskey, but even then he still can't compare to joe. I heard this reboot was going in a more "serialized" approach to story telling which is dumb for a show based of a cartoon that was episodic but if you wanted to do that type of story should've just made a new ip I guess because of the Animanics reboot successes(another bad reboot) that they decided to bring back the sister series. What's next Histeria? Freakazoid? Just stop you can't recapture 90s greatness its not possible so don't bother, also why would you make babs buster siblings what purpose does that even serve? That's an instant deal breaker wtf.

Its about a school for cartoons aspiring to be like the Looney Tunes. The main characters are Buster and Babs Bunny. In this verison they are sibblings instead of best friends who are in love with each other. That is a very creepy change. Just like the original, it tries too hard to be funny. Normally I like physical humor but this ain't it. The biggest issue with this show is it likes to bombard the audience with cliches. Their idea of a joke is droping an anvil on someone when we have seen that type of joke a billion times. When Looney Tunes did those types of jokes back in the day they were more fresh. If you want a funny newer CN show with lots of physical gags turn on Gumball.

It would be easier to accept this reboot if the characters weren't reimagined and forced. The writing is atrocious and unfollowable. The only character that seems to hold some manner of form is Plucky. I sat through one episode and I will not return. Giving certain characters a southern accent to offset the lazy writing is just, well, lazy. I also disagree with the changing of relations between Babs and Buster. It worked the way it was originally. I hope we're not saddled with several seasons of this garbage blemishing the memory of the original series. It's understandable why so many of the original Tiny Toons voice talent opted-out.

When I started watching this show, I was expecting to see a pale imitation of the original series. Suffice to say, my expectations were too high; Tiny Toons Looniversity can only be described as a complete travesty of its predecessor.

The humor in this show is poorly timed and it feels extremely forced. As if the writers were too afraid of kids losing interest way too quickly. On the top of that, the animation looks cheap and underwhelming, especially for such an anticipated series.

At the end of the day, Looniversity it's just bad. It feels like a cartoon that is directed towards no public in particular, as if its only purpose was to fill a hole in Max catalogue.

I tried to like it. I really tried. But it's garbage in every way.

1.) The voices sound NOTHING like the original characters. The closest it gets is Buster occasionally sounds like Bugs Bunny. Everyone else, just random voices with "no relation" to the originals. Even Plucky Duck doesn't sound the least bit duck-like.

Why not hire some of the original voice actors? Spielberg wouldn't pay them enough?

2.) The art is typical soulless low-effort vector graphics - I feel like I'm watching The Fairly OddParents.

3.) The writing is awkward, meandering, and unfunny. Feels kind of like a preschooler wrote it, except without the funny non-sequiturs you would get from that. Kind of like a low-budget comedy anime.

You would think that with the backing of Steven Spielberg this would be good. Instead, it's a mockery of a classic from my childhood.

They managed to do a decent job with the Animaniacs sequel series (in spite of occasional partisan politics shoehorned in). Why not this? If you're gonna bring back a classic, do it right, or leave it alone.

I kind of hate purist attitudes, espeically since they need to keep things a very specific and cliched way. If we had done that, we wouldn't have rock music, abstract art or even new kinds of cartoons. Let it be said that there ARE in fact changes to this new Tiny Toons, such as the two best friends Babs and Buster now being siblings instead of besties, which might creep out someone who fantasizes about their original "intimate" relationship as if that really matters. The old episodes like the one where Buster planned to ask Babs to the school dance might've been fun, but let's be honest: do we really watch those two rabbits for romance? No. We watch them because they make us laugh, so this change, while unnecessary, is really not a con in anyway shape or form.

Now for some real cons. This is yet another Looney Tunes show, and Looney Tunes shows have been relying on the same humor for quite a while, even the HBO series Looney Tunes Cartoons. The franchise has needed a fresh start ever since Space Jam, and this series and The Looney Tunes Show are the closest we have. I'll take it if I don't have any control over it. But this also means the humor has been said and done before quite often. Even though there are some cool spins on old gags which rely on meta-humor, the bottom line is that as adults, we're familiar with it. Except maybe the tough gal flexing. There's an absurd amount of that, and yet no Arnold showing off???

And now for the pros. The first thing I'm going to point out is the energy. We adults might be more familiar with the humor, but even with the good chuckles, there's an incredible amount of energy in this show that keeps everybody Looney throughout the whole runtime of each episode. So there's a lot for the kids to love without selling out to cheap kiddie TV like many Steven Universe knock-offs. Another very important pro is a very personal one to me: the acting and voice changes. I absolutely ADORE Hampton's new southern accent. It brings out so much of his scaredy-cat persona that it separates him even further from Porky. Also, Plucky's voice has just that right amount of midteen smug in it, so Plucky's no longer just "kid Daffy." And guess what? They even gave Furball a voice. And it sounds PERFECT for him. It's cute and raspy, and now he's got personality, too. I'll let you see that for yourself. And even none speaking characters like Calamity can be extremely expressive in their actions.

Well, I'm more or less satisfied with this reboot. I expected familiarity, but thankfully the pros are there and they're fairly strong. I still prefer the original show, but I'll support this reboot.

It's a very okay show. A lot of the jokes honestly don't really make sense, like they just sort do "cartoony" stuff as a reaction but there's no set-up or connection to what's actually happening. Generally I react to the attempted jokes like, "why did that happen?" rather than laugh. An example is Plucky Duck sees Buster's new hairstyle and as a response, opens up a backpack, dumps out the books and then skateboards across the screen. It's not really a joke, just sort of stuff happening that's "zany" I guess?

I've never seen the original show but I find the voices of this one very unfitting, and the characters scream too often for my taste.

I wouldn't say it's bad but I definitely wouldn't recommend watching this show.
