Sex & Nudity

  • Sex scenes are implied, but there are love making scenes. Some of them show heavy thrusting and moaning, but no nudity.
  • Episodes 1, 2, and 5 has the most sexual content. The first two has heavy make out scenes with moaning, but very brief. In episode 5, however, there is a lengthy sex scene, containing hard thrusting but no actual nudity.
  • The comment regarding the full frontal nudity of actress Kristen Bell is untrue and has been deleted.
  • In one scene, a man passionately kisses a woman before ripping off her robe revealing her bra and panties underneath. He then rips off his shirt. He lays on her and embraces her and continues to kiss her.
  • A male stripper is shown dancing in a Speedo and chaps. The protagonist is shown wearing only a bra and panties in a couple of scenes. There's also kissing and an extended sex scene in which the man and woman are both naked but no sensitive body parts are shown except for butt cheeks.
  • There is a scene of lovemaking and the scene lasts for a long time and a Brief kissing scene.
  • In an attempt to get a male character to accept her follow request on Instagram the main character takes suggestive pictures of herself and posts them.
  • There are some scenes in which the female character is seen taking off her clothes and her cleavage showing.
  • There are scenes that show couples having sex, brief nudity revealing a bare behind, and characters shown in their underwear.

Violence & Gore

  • Children Violence and abuse
  • A man gets upset and threatens to cut a woman into pieces. The protagonist's daughter is murdered in a horrific way off screen and another child is shown being stabbed to death after a brutal fight with an adult. The protagonist has ongoing flashbacks of stabbing someone. Later, she's beaten, stabbed, and shot. Multiple other people are also murdered. Many of the victims are shown with their throats cut, either already dead or in the process of dying, and a dismembered head and hand are shown.
  • Strong violence and severe blood content are present throughout the series.
  • In a scene in which a character is holding its neck and blood is seen gushing out.
  • A man accidentally puts a nail with a nail gun and the scene is bloody but he doesn't feel anything.
  • Anna has a dream where she slashes the throat of a bride and the scene is very bloody, blood sprays on Annas' face.
  • The main character finds a man on the floor, there is a pool of blood in his neck area, he's been stabbed in the neck his deep wound can be seen as he is dying.
  • There is a scene in which a girl kills a woman. The girl also kills her pregnant mother.
  • There is a fight scene between Anna and a child and the fighting scene includes lots of blood, stabbings, punching, face being smashed into the glass, getting shot by a gun in the arm.
  • The biggest drawback to this show is the violence it contains, with characters being hit by a car, stabbed, shot, and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Some scenes are bloody, gory, and graphic.

Profanity

  • Multiple uses of f**k in each episode.
  • 47 uses of f bombs and other profanity.
  • A man gets upset on the phone and threatens to cut a woman into pieces. Repeated swearing; "f--k," "s--t," "a--hole," "bitch," "hell."
  • Sexual References are present throughout.
  • Language Throughout, words used, "Sh*t", "Fu*k", "He*l".
  • There is a lot of profanity in this series including many uses of fu*k, bit*h, a**, sh*t, damn it, and g-ddammit.
  • The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window contains some strong language, with profanity used throughout. Lookout words include: f*ck, sh*t, b*tch, d*mn, and more.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main character, Anna, mixes prescription drugs with copious amounts of alcohol on a daily basis.
  • Anna loves her red wine, you see her drinking a ton of it through the episode, she fills the entire bottle in a glass to the top, you even see on her kitchen counter a bowl stacked full of corks from the wine bottles she's drunk.
  • The characters consume alcohol and take prescription drugs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The main character (Anna) has a ombrophobia of the rain.
  • Throughout all the episodes there are over the top dramatic and intense scenes, since this is making fun of other thriller tropes.
  • Rated R for strong use of substances, violence, language and some sexual moments

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A Woman's 9 year old daughter is revealed to have been killed and eaten by a cannibal serial killer. This is not shown, but referenced frequently.
