Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • An intense and disturbing flashback sequence in which young men training in the forces are forced to run, whoever falls behind is shot by their commander. Their commander then orders them to slit the necks of their captured and tied up enemies, which they proceed with (blood splashing). The commander then orders them to kill each other with those same knives. They do not go through with it. A moderate amount of blood is shown.
  • The last half of the show gets progressively more violent until the last episode which is a full-on R-rated bloodbath.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A female character is seen tied, bruised and bloodied (torture implied), and forcibly standing on the ledge of a tall bridge atop of a massive waterfall. A man then manhandles her, threatens and forces her into agreeing to become a spy, as she screams, trembles, and cries in fear. She later has PTSD flashbacks to this experience.
  • A young woman's brother is killed in the midst of war, he is shown bloody and laying on the hospital bed, where he succumbs to his wounds. The shocking news devastates his sister, who cries, panics, and later passes out. The brother's death is mentioned and referenced emotionally multiple times throughout the show.
  • A young woman's father is shot in the shoulder and unconsciously falls to the ground (attempted murder). He is saved, and alive in the hospital. However, his daughter is emotionally distressed hearing this news. A brief and mild squirt of blood is shown.
  • A young woman's lover dies after being shot multiple times in the chest. A lot of blood is shown. The woman cries and screams as she is carried out.
