Video games are evolving at a rapid rate. Changing from linear experiences to dynamic ones, thanks to games like Helldivers 2. Other things that have been increasingly implemented in video games are the moral implications that shape gameplay. Some suggest Ubisoft would bring something similar to Far Cry 7, changing the franchise for the better.
They had a chance of doing it years ago with Rainbow Six: Patriots, but that was scrapped in favor of Siege. Afterward, they tried implementing this in a number of their games, but in a very small way. There were some choices in Assassin’s Creed games; even Far Cry games had those, but they did not change the output drastically. But now things would supposedly be a bit different. One must say that if they have decided to bring this change to Far Cry 7, they can also bring an incredible new feature from Rise of the Ronin.

Fans praise Far Cry for two things, its open world, and its amazing villains. Each game in the series has seen some amazing villains from Vaas, The Jackal, to Joseph. Each of these villains has introduced something special to the game with their unique personalities.
Far Cry 4
While many eagerly wait for the next installment in the series, Ubisoft can surprise everyone by spicing things up. While we have seen the villains through the protagonist’s eye, things could change if the series introduces a protagonist who later falls into crime and madness.
Far Cry 7 can feature a villain as the protagonist
Every game in the series has introduced players to something new. Be it a new location or adding new characters. However, these games have followed the same pattern when it comes to villains. These games portray the villains as memorable antagonists. This is something Far Cry 7 can think of re-inventing,...

With the focus on mid and short films increasing significantly this year, Osaka Asian Film Festival presented another quite intriguing edition, with the choices from both within Japan and the rest of Asia highlighting the quality of the programming once more. At the same time though, the fact that both Japanese and Korean cinema, which make up for a large part of the program, are not on their best years, does take a toll. Particularly regarding the former, the repetition of the same tropes, and more importantly, the almost complete lack of tension most Japanese movies seem to exhibit nowadays, does border on the annoying. There were still some films that stood out, with “Snowdrop”, “Swimming in a Sand Pool” , “Inch Forward”, and “Girls and Boys” exhibiting some fresh ideas, but the aforementioned fact remains. At the same time, it is also a fact that is quite difficult to find...

Yoshida Kota was born 1978 in Tokyo and graduated from Waseda University. He studied filmmaking at the Enbu seminar and gained international recognition with “Yuriko's Aroma” (2010) at festivals like “Nippon Connection”. Different from his last film “Sexual Drive” (2021), he now turns to the severe topic of social welfare and presents a gripping social drama.
On the occasion of the world premiere at “Osaka Asian Film Festival” Yoshida Kota reveals his thoughts behind the script and talks about how to combine vulnerability and dignity on screen.
“Snow Drop” is a courageous movie because it does not shy away from a challenging and unadressed topic. Everyone talks about the ageing Japanese society. There are also more and more movies that adress this “problem” in terms of dementia and eldery care. But it seems to me that most of them stay on a superficial and bold level in telling these stories. Your movie is different.

Receiving welfare in Japan is a social stigma. Family members are called and asked if there is financial support, supervisors inspect your privacy, and on top of that, you feel the psychological pressure of being labeled as a failed individual. That's why many people in Japan hesitate to make use of it and the downward spiral into poverty worsens. Kota Yoshida showcases one of these touching cases in his newest film “Snow Drop” which has its world premiere at the Osaka Asian Film Festival.

Over 33 years “Snow Drop” tells the story of Naoko and her family. Leaving the family when she was little, her father Eiji returns home after 15 years. In the following years, her mother becomes demented and has to be taken care of at home. After Eiji has an accident that prevents him from continuing his job, Naoko, now...

Disney appears to be having a Squid Game moment.
The star-studded Korean spy series Moving has become Disney+ and Hulu’s most-watched K-drama ever — in the U.S. and globally — within just seven days of release. The show launched on Disney’s streaming services on Aug. 9 and has become the company’s most popular series in any language, based on hours streamed, across the Asia Pacific region, including in Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. That means viewers in Asia have already watched Moving more than Disney’s core franchise series like The Mandalorian. (Disney declined to share more precise viewership data.)

The Korean drama “Snowdrop” from Disney+ starring Jung Hae-In (“Tune in for Love”) and Blackpink singer Jisoo will premiere in the U.S. on Feb. 9, the streaming service said Monday.
The period drama, which is set in 1987, tells the forbidden love story of a Southern Korean college student (Jisoo) and a North Korean spy (Jung Hae-in) as South Korea fights for its independence.
The series, produced by jTBC, has received strong criticism in Korea over its lack of historical accuracy, prompting lawsuits and petitions to bar it from airing, according to NME. One such petition had gathered more than 300,000 signatures in December as several advertisers bowed out.
“Snowdrop” also made headlines earlier this month for the untimely death of 29-year-old cast member Kim Mi-Soo, who plays student activist Yeo Jungmin. According to CNN, no cause of death was given in her Jan. 5 death.
