Weaker than the rest of the stores...speed watch it and then binge the rest

The pilot has some funny moments, but the cast hasn't clicked in to their roles or chemistry yet, and the writers haven't started writing to each actor's strengths. The jokes are there, but the delivery is labored, and the only music in the episode is sample of the theme song, which is weak. Enjoy a cameo from Tina's eldest daughter as a mini influencer, along with cameos from the Tina Fay universe.

Definitely watch it to get the foundation of the rest of the first season, and know that it gets much better from here on out. Jokes are tighter, the cast starts to gel, and the songs are funny and good!

A weak opening to an otherwise amazing show
It's like a TV pilot. This episode is relatively weak and not what someone should base their overall opinion on.

Which is why it's such a shame that it's the only freebie of the eps on peacock.

Warning: Spoilers
This is very similar to 30 Rock which is not surprising given the people behind it. Unfortunately, like 30 Rock it suffered from a very underwhelming series premiere that just goes too far with failed pop culture jokes and attempts of creating relatable deadbeat characters.

Sara Bareilles mirroring Tina Fey from 30 Rock is a little weird, but she's clearly been overdue for a starring role on TV like this for a long time. Renee is good in her role as a budget Beyonce as well.

I think the show can improve, but this was not a particularly strong start at all. Just one episode of 8 though so we'll see.

It didn't work at all

Just watched it and found it painful. Cringe-worthy.

And it raised an important question -- how can Tina Fey be associated with both this AND Mister Mayor, which may now be my all-time favorite sitcom? I'm thinking it must be Robert Carlock that produces -- what I consider to be -- really great comedy.
