Because there is no review yet A Sweet little mystery box
alunarlight8 September 2022
Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in space or just Bee and Puppycat is an animated show featuring a cast of 20-ish-something young adults that is still IMO family friendly .

It is a chill mellow with an air of whimsy and mystery, as characters just trying to find their place in life and a bit of fishbowl space, and you also get to find clues about where they are and hints at what they are and have been.

It started out as a YouTube series funded by Frederator, and went threw a bit trouble finding a platform, it is now airing on Netflixs It has Sailor Moon, Steven Universe with a bit of Adventure time Vibes(which makes sense considering the Natasha Allegri work on Adventure Time(behind fiona and cake) and over the garden wall( co wrote on 3 episodes of otgw)) So if you like any of those shows, give it a try.

Bee And Puppycat Lazy In Space- Review
Nathboi12 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I found a series on Wednesday that was released on Tuesday called Bee and Puppy cat.

Now, let me get this out of the way. I watched the original series before Netflix bought the rights,

and my message to Netflix is if you cancel another season of this show I will now watch your service again, until there's another thing I can watch!

Anyways let's get to this review!!!!! Yeah!! Spoilers btw. Now lets get into it

EPISODE RATING!

-----------------------

Ep 1: Again for the First Time

This episode is basically the pilot with a few changes overall 5/10. But the two scenes that made me laugh were puppy cat hitting a child and the crouch scene but didn't change my rating sorry

Ep 2: Who would want this?

6/10. Love it where cardamon has control of the power, and puppycat threw the yogurt up there, and shutted all the power. Love this episode rated higher for funny effect

Ep 3: What Do You Want to Be?

9/10. I got sad when moully disappeared but I love these for number of reasons for the rating to be higher

The plot twist of where Bee is a robot just shook my brain even though it's been done in the original.

Everyone gets developed in the end, and the story progresses.

Love how the end credits are with a dancing scene instead of the normal.

Ep 4: Gentle Touch

5/10 Just like the 1 episode

Ep 5: little fingers

5/10 just the same as the other episodes but the little fingers are gross and terrifying

Ep 6: Day Off Work

6/10 I like how they don't do a job and just do normal chaos

Eps 7: Snow and Violets

The same as ep 6 but I liked how mr cup is old and created a planet all by himself with his past selves

Ep 8: Funny Lying

9/10 Loved Jenifer Tilly's voice in this as violet and loved the stories of puppycat/Space cadet also voiced by famous va Steve Blum

Ep 9: My Favorite

6/10 love how wholesome it is

Eps 10/16

Ep 10: 5/10 love Maile Flanagan's voice as tempbot

Ep 11/12: 5/10

Ep 13/15:

ep 13: 6/10 love arins voice

Ep 14: 5/10

Ep 15: 5/10

Ep 16: I won't leave you alone

This is the final episode and I rate it a

10/10!

Love this finale and hope there's more to explore in volume 2 also Jennifer Tilly voiced again and loved it

Thoughts -------------------------

The animation was good, the stories were good, everything was good, and my comfort show forever. Like the voices could use some work but still I love it, also the art Styles change each time the show progresses or when they do work on planets. The animators/creator and voice actors deserve better and money

If volume 2 if it ever releases or in production is good as this I'll watch it unless Netflix brings the cancellation bat and cancel right then and there.

This may be one of my new favorite shows.
Jmedlin9315 October 2022
I didn't really know what I was getting into when I saw Bee and Puppycat on Netflix. I've not heard of the show in any of its earlier iterations. I just saw the trailer and loved the vibe. I am so glad I did. This show is endlessly charming. The feeling I get watching it reminds me of playing Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. Every character is constructed with such care. I particularly love the story of Cardamon and their dog Sticky. The show dances between moments of humor, comedy, suspense, and melancholy so well. If you are looking for a comfy show to vibe to, it honestly doesn't get better than this.

It's weird, it's wacky and doesn't always make a lot of sense, and I LOVE it for that.
roger18658 November 2022
Having discovered the web series on Channel Frederator way back when, I was extremely excited to learn the the continuation was coming to Netflix. Though when watching it, I realized it was part continuation and part retelling. There are some clips and references to the web series but with a fresh new take and new story. Netflix is known to give their content creators full range to make the show however they want, so seeing Natasha Allegri take full reigns on the show made it all the better. The animation is beautiful at times and fun/cute at others without it coming off too bubbly. With more episodes, it gave audiences time to explore the characters, the worlds and the possibilities of the show. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and knows its audiences. That's not to say it's all style and no substance. It's action packed but the action never takes away from the story, it's weird but not nonsensical and more importantly its never boring. This show has scenes beautifully animated, good visual gags, as well as good jobs and the voice acting is spot on. If I had any complaint, it would be sometimes we spend a tad long on certain side characters, but it never turned me off from the show. This has easily become my favorite show to come out of 2022.

BEE & PUPPYCAT: LAZY IN SPACE: A Chillin' Sequel Series
Jinxxa_Wolf12 December 2023
BEE & PUPPYCAT was a profoundly unique, lovely experience. In my opinion, it is an adorable story of a one-of-a-kind friendship between an oddball woman named Bee (old lady?) and a fiesty space creature called PuppyCat, who "looks like a cat but smells like a puppy". Season 2 adds more depth to the world (island/space) and further develops the characters. As a whole, this retro-esque chibi sci-fi series gives off high levels of quirk. Charming, quaint, poignant and kinda bizarre--this show really has a lot of heart and soul. And it's difficult to explain this show really. It is wholly original and fresh, with beautifully designed world, vividly imagined characters, pastel colored aesthetics and honestly--something extremely and extraordinarily calming about it.

While there is much emotional and nostalgic depth here, and plenty of cute everyday stories going on, it's also quite surreal and metaphysical, at times even mind-bending and nearing on the trippy, sci-fi psychedelic side. It's a great series to watch and rewatch, and the slow, peaceful vibes make it a great bedtime show as well. It might just chill you to sleep. ; ) That may sound bad, but it's not in actuallity.

I really love this series, the artwork, the world, the characters and its incredibly moving atmosphere...oh, did I mention music? The retro mellow OST is really amazing, beautiful and memorable. I hope to see more like it in the future. Definitely worth the watch and rewatches. Completely far out there and filled with such random bizarre cuteness! Such a uber sweet, perfect series. A creative work of genius. Loved it! Both seasons!!

First Episode Review
cynthiafaithstafford10 September 2022
In reviewing the reboot of this iconic indie show, I must say I am excited. For now I only watched the first episode to get a feel for how they were handling this storyline. If you watched the sparse pilot episodes way back when like I did, then you'll be pleasantly surprised to see how much they jam pack into this first one. As a matter of fact it is almost to a fault, because if you are watching this show for the first time ever, you're not really catching all the hints they're throwing your way. Elements of the show that were deeply important and spread throughout the few episodes back then are now squished into this first episode. Without spoiling, they're already alluding to a big element pertaining to a main character right off the bat, within the first few minutes. Then such things as songs and stories that were revealed in the finale, are now here to digest in your first watch.

Is this a good thing? It could be, if you don't want to watch a show all over again and want to continue the plot as soon as possible. If you're a first time watcher, then you'll get the idea that there is a lot going on and you need to pay attention. If you are like me, you somewhat wish a few things were left unsaid, at least the plot twist.

The tone of the show is unique in that it shows more than tells. Many times if you blink or look away, you might be missing a silent moment happening. Sometimes moments happen, but are not special to the episode, but they will be important later on. They are very clear in getting your attention, focusing on a single item most of the time, and you're wondering if it is a red herring, a visual clue, or just something they're showing to remind you something happened.

Funnily enough, this show is actually action packed, but the way the characters speak and react to things you don't ever feel too overstimulated. This show is the kind that could be played in the background and not disturb you, but still be interesting when you look up again. All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing more of it!

One of the best cartoons ever
nathaliekinardpaypal9 November 2023
Nowadays cartoon series are waaaay to jumpy and overfeeding you with information and stimulation that you feel overwhelmed and tired after watching them.

This series however is a high quality content, that keeps you curious and exited while giving you a mental break from all the overstimulation that is happening in our world. It's like watching lofi hiphop as a series. It's also very funny and the visuals are full of eye candy. The creativity is on a very high level too so you feel like you are taking a journey into a different world. You always want to watch more because the way they built the storyline makes it seem like it's a relaxed show but the content is actually pretty deep and mysterious. So I really hope they make another season, so we can all dive more into this amazing world of mystery, fun and relaxation.

Cozy and Sweet
colakittykatsu6 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show is very cozy and I really like the anime vibes that it has along with it. Every episode felt like you were transported in the world. It feels enjoyable watching Bee and Puppycat get up to crazy antics while they were completing tasks for TempBot. Each mission felt colorful and psychedelic, while being suitable for the eye. The characters also added a lot to show, as each character has a distinct personality. I really enjoyed Howell and Crispin the most because they were the most stoic, while opening up to the people they felt most comfortable with. I would definitely recommend this show for someone who likes Adventure Time or something similar.

The Chillest of Vibes
thegreatlibraryofearth13 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is the kind of show you watch with a cup of tea, on a rainy day. Picture Adventure Time but less manic and for adults.

I love the voice acting. The animation is beautiful. The music is peaceful. I love comedy and all the characters.

My only issue is that I have no idea whats going on. For instance (spoiler alert), theres this pink haired mom in a coma. I dont know why shes in a coma but they keep coming back to her throughout the series.

Then at the end of season 2, she wakes up, looks around, gets mad that her island is ruined, tells puppycat to send the island to space, then goes back into a coma. None of my question have been answered and many more have been created.

Imagine watching a mystery, but instead of the characters trying to solve the mystery, they go out for ice cream instead. The season ends and you gotta wait another year. Thats the kind of energy this shows gives off.

A 10/10 Slice of Dreamy Delight
the_3_muses10 February 2024
Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space isn't just a show; it's a warm hug wrapped in a kaleidoscope. From the whimsical pastels to the laid-back, slice-of-life approach to magical girl shenanigans, this show is a masterpiece of comforting charm. Every episode feels like a warm cup of cocoa on a rainy day, a sprinkle of glitter on a dull Tuesday.

The surreal world Bee and PuppyCat inhabit is as enchanting as it is strange. Talking cats with mysterious pasts, floating cities powered by emotions, and temp jobs that turn into intergalactic adventures - this show revels in the unexpected, reminding us that the ordinary can be extraordinary with a dash of imagination.

But where Bee and PuppyCat truly shines is in its gentle approach to storytelling. Forget saving the world; Bee's biggest struggle is often paying rent on her tiny apartment. This mundane grounding gives the fantastical elements even more weight, making the characters and their journeys feel relatable and endearing.

It's this relatability that made Bee and PuppyCat a beacon of comfort during the pandemic. The show's focus on dreaming big, even when life feels overwhelming, resonated deeply. Bee's struggles with self-doubt and financial woes mirrored our own, while PuppyCat's boundless optimism offered a much-needed escape.

More than just a comfort show, Bee and PuppyCat inspired me to dream. It reminded me that magic exists in the everyday, that joy can be found in the simplest things, and that it's never too late to chase your wildest, silliest dreams.

With its captivating animation, quirky characters, and heartwarming stories, Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space is a 10/10 masterpiece. It's a show I'll rewatch countless times, a cozy haven I can always return to whenever life needs a touch of sweetness and whimsy. And to Netflix, I say this: PLEASE renew for a third season! The world needs more Bee and PuppyCat adventures, and we the fans are ready to embark on them.

A wonderful adventure retold through disappointment
naaqua8 September 2022
Well IMDB messed up and my long in depth review was lost. I'll say this. This show was effortless fun and I felt like the story and voice actors cared and delivered everything with feeling and intensity. This feels lifeless and pushy. It feels like someone retelling a joke or story. It's not the same thing at all.

Going back to the original show I get a much different feeling. Everything about the original feels like a project of passion, a well told story about a girl down on her luck and the weird situations with a cat or a dog? This feels like no one cares.

There's too much exposition. Too many details pushed into episode one. No character development and focus is all over the place. The jokes that were simple and hilarious are now watered down and forced. Deckard was previously a part of Bee's story but in this one it seems like the show is Bee and Puppycat also featuring Deckard's family.

Everything about this is wrong. I don't like what this has become. I'm glad it will introduce more people to Bee and Puppycat but I wish it had the soul of the original. It feels desperate and altered. Where is the love and glee we used to hear in Bee's voice? Why are we pushing so much story? Why does everything need context right away but various story elements just get dropped? I don't get it.

Case and point. The scene with the umbrella and ice. Watch the new version compared to the original and wow did they butcher that. One of my favorite and to me the most well told and hilarious joke in a cartoon ever was short and sweet with so much emotional intensity. Now it's a watered down and forced retelling of that joke. This tells you everything about how much this show lost.

If this show gets more episodes I beg Natasha to find whatever heart and soul she invested in this show originally. It feels like she lost it and it makes me sad.

Cute, quirky, and worth a watch!
puppydogs-619905 May 2024
This show contains the absurd comedic chaos of adventure time with the pastel good-feel aesthetic of Steven universe. The first episode is a little weird if you haven't watched the original (free on YouTube, also highly recommend), but I hope that more people will give it a chance. I recommend this show as one that gave me a lot of joy, but also presented the difficult aspects of life in a relaxed, comforting and creative way. Each character has a background in hardship, some subtle and less explored, others undeniably heartbreaking, and the story doesn't really attempt to resolve these hardships (at least not this season) but there is an impicit attitude of acceptance in character interactions which makes the show sort of consoling. It is best to watch this show with relaxation in mind, as the plot is secondary to the atmosphere in my opinion. That's not to say the plot is uninteresting, as it is quite the opposite, and I am eager to hear the announcement of subsequent seasons to continue where it left off.

When I first watched this show, I thought it was Japanese because of the animation style and quality. In combination with the music and relaxed tone of the voice acting, the atmosphere of the show has no parallel. There are also so many cute and hilarious details that make a rewatch just as enjoyable. Overall, cannot recommend enough. This has become an absolute favourite of mine and I just can't get enough!

Colorful n entertaining
phzgnkn18 December 2023
Frederatot alway bring the most inventive cartoons. Bee n puppycat is not that's decepointing, started as pilot on YouTube later it was pick up for a full series. It wasn't bad love the colors palettes that they show on the series. The story re very melancholy for the way how the characters interact in the environment with so much to see n todo, n is fun my favorite is the wrestler n pregnant Toast always looking for a fight with Cast, so much fun, then you got. Cardamon the landlord always changing the rent to Bee, but Sticky he's dog always following him to different places. But the best are the protagonist Bee and Puppycat always on adventure or doing a job, that takes the duo's to planets, then her motorcycle cat, so kawai.

I can't say much love the world n the characters It feels like a Moe genre's (cute characters doing cute things) hahahaha. Today's generation of animators are becoming more creative in their work, been invited with what they do.

From Adventure Time to Steven Universe's, are taking influence from Japan kawai culture, I felt this like Lucky Star sheer full and about nothing when comes to the motive of the characters.

So if ye want to see something relax n simply Bee and Puppycat is the one.

Bye.

Bee in puppy cat lazy in space
giovannigordy2 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Now I must admit I do feel bad for rating this show so low but there definitely was sadly a fall from grace but despite this I think this is still a passion project made with love.

So first let's go over what I like, the world building and new characters is very nice that with the new episode count we can take our focus off of the main story and focus on the other people. But sadly this is the most consistently good the show gets.

Now not saying this show is bad it has high points but the large issues I have are voice acting, script, production, characters, plot changes.

Now let's start with the first one, the voice acting itself is not bad but the way the audio is so choppy is strange and it makes them sounds unnatural like the conversation stops every time a characters sentence. This can lead into my next issue with the script, the script is definitely a fall from grace, in the original show the conversations had great flow and it sounded natural that's something the show took pride in and it was applauded for the way they could make characters sound like there having and actual conversations but in this version of the show it's so stiff it sounds like the writers where told to make it sound like there normal people talking but instead of how it used to be they basically make observations and than it goes no where or somebody says something back and the conversation ends the forceful story telling us so strange this season also this show used to have a mysterious show that was light hearted and fun but still had a lot of lore and mystery but in this version it seems like there trying to spell everything out for us in the first few episodes because they decided they wanted to do something else with the story Wich completely ruins the whole build of season 1.

The third issue is the production of this show obviously look a major loss of quality, the art style is almost always dramatized cartoony because it's cheaper and easier to draw . Now this itself wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for the use of this style in this show every time they use this style it looks silly so they can't have serious talk so they always try to force in an unnatural joke in so that they have a reason to use it, mind you the jokes this season are not that good. I can understand why theese changes happened because the episode count is obviously much larger than a lot of shows but this does not change the fact the quality of this is not that good.

The characters this season are ok at best most the time deckard charecter is wasted for the most part and it goes from deckard being a main character to Deckard whole family including him being a single main Character this is main issue I have with characters though because there mostly the same characters just with worse scripting.

The finale and largest issue I have is the plot changes, by this I'm referring too how the plot constantly changes. They seem like they don't know what kind of story they want to be Wich isn't the issue itself because this first season was constantly changing plot it was just fun random adventures with back story's being hinted at. In this season though it seems like they really want to be story driven though. But the difference with this is that it doesn't fit the original story of the show they seem like they struggle to tell the story of puppycat and bee at a larger aspect, and while they try to tell those stories it puts the main goofy fun adventure of the day and makes that background side story.

Overall I hate to say it but I don't think this was a good second season I think there was a huge fall in production for the story a change in what they wanted to do with the show and everything else I listed I hope that they can get another season to possibly help it recover from this but would I say it's even close to the original...Not at all sadly Wich is why it's really sad to see this happen to the show and I feel like this wasn't worth the wait.

Boring and forced. Pretty though.
mineitall11 May 2023
Every episode seems like there is no goal and often the story is jittery and disorganized. The voice acting is really really bad, There's no emotion or character to the voices, and a lot of the dialogue is unannounced and forced. So many quirky phrases or situations that are untimely and make no sense. The story is so disorganized it makes it boring, along with the dull jokes and random unpaced story advancements, it seems like it was made up along the way. One of the biggest disappointments of the show is the lack of logic behind 7/8ths of the jokes and tropes, it really is just boring.

I will say the art style is alright, too many colors to be confusing but it's got a pretty frame here or there, I can see this as a fun show to watch for those that like being under the influence.

The jokes and whole feel of the show is in short for a very very narrow group of people.

Rubs me the wrong way..
joshuatiller-895113 December 2023
I like weird but this isn't my kind of weird. My wife loved the original but she didn't even like this. Something about the overall aesthetic of this entire show rubbed me the wrong way, from the coloration of the artwork to the tone of music and especially everyone's monotone voices I just didn't enjoy any part of it. It made me feel relaxed and uncomfortable at the same time and I can't really say that anything else has ever done that to me, so I guess it's unique in that way. The last thing is the "humor" of this show is not there, I think Puppycat is suppose to be cute and funny but just comes off as annoying.
