A soldier condemned to death. A general and soldiers. A last wish. The confusion. And the moment changing the life of one of executioners. The story is simple. And almost blank. The characters are sketches. The cinematography is decent. Few flavors from Pasolini and a correct film, almost cold. Its virtue - the last scene who has the force of delicate moral of a gesture changing a life.
