One of the problems for Piece of Cake was that it was made before the CGI era.
It was not easy or cheap to send vintage aircraft up in the air. Even more costly to stage aerial battles.
Money has certainly been spent in this episode and the aeria sequences were very good for television. I could not spot any stock footage.
The boys have their first skirmish with a German bomber. It is Hart who is critical of Rex and his methods.
