Still one of the most interesting fascinating character driven entertaining shows out there.

Still amazing

Good but suffers the effect of COVID

What do I mean by that this was meant to be the season finale last season but due to the lockdown they ended up delaying the episode until this season so I see complaints on why they started with this episode but it's not there fault really.
It's still a great show imo

Yes, the conclusion to the dorothy storyline was very rushed and yes it suffered from the effects of COVID, but it's honeslty still a great show.
The heart is still there--the main concern of the show is to develop the characters, and the plot is oftentimes secondary to the character's own storylines, which I love tbh.

Started poorly but got amazing again as it progressed.

In the first "act" of this I felt like they had hired CW writers to do this and it made my heart sink. I did however notice that Cyborg apparently took acting lessons. I liked his character and the actor's choices much, much more than in the first two seasons. Larry Trainor not so much, but it's not the actor's fault. He's still a whiner, and that's on the writers. But even that kind of changed at the end, which left me hopeful.
Hope. This episode is all about it, I think.
When this episode started, I was shaking my head and terrified about what was happening to my favorite show. By the end, all was forgiven and I was literally weeping.
And they ended with Danny the Ambulance! Man, I hope they bring in a Casey Brinke character. I loved her in the comic.
God, I love this show.

Picture of mental health issues

This is one of my favorite shows, ever.
Spoilers: Granted, the Candlemaker part was the tiniest bit anticlimactic, but Jane's story more than makes up for it. It's one of the most artful depictions of mental health issues I've ever seen on screen.

'Doom Patrol' has always been on my must-see-TV list, and while we the audience had to wait a year, it was worth the wait.
Did COVID displace the finale. Yep. Real life has a way of doing that. To the casual viewer, a recap was probably necessary. Does 'Doom Patrol' have casual viewers? I would prefer the producers think we can follow along with a show. It's not like 'DP' had a complicated season 2 finale.
The episode's resolution of season 2 did feel a bit rushed. Mainly because Dorothy deals pretty easily with the Candlemaker. "Let's be friends" is a touching sentiment, but it doesn't make for much of a conclusion. One gets the impression that the production staff wanted to get some of the old stuff out of the way so they could unleash the new stuff like Madame Rogue, the Dead Boy Detectives, and the Sisterhood of Dada, among others.
I did like the Miranda/Jane conclusion. Seeing all the personas band together to help Jane escape was touching.
The Vic/Roni plot seems like one of the things that was rushed to an ending. I can't say that I'll miss her, but at least it gave Vic something to do. It looks like we'll see more with him and his mother down the road, but he still seems like the odd man out on the team.
I figure Larry isn't gone for good despite his trip into space. I'm not sure Rita has much to do, but maybe her role as the new head of the team will help.. Cliff is his usual self: foul-mouthed and having "still being human" problems. I like Abi Monterey as Dorothy, and it seems like she has more to do now that she's a member of the team, rather than "The Daughter of Niles" with all the baggage that involves. It looks like Phil Morris will keep coming back, which is good. When they actually give him something to do, like last season's "Doctor Cowboy" and this episode's joking with Vic, Silas is actually interesting.
Did I blink and miss Mark Sheppard?
Overall, "Possibility Patrol" did a decent job of wrapping up the dangling plot threads from season 2 while setting the stage to move on with the new stuff.
But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. What do you think?

don't know why this is the opening episode

The whole time I was watching this episode, I was literally thinking, "why is this not the finale of the last season" and that's because this is such a bad opening episode. Last seasons cliffhanger was pretty good, but it would have been better if it was just an episode cliffhanger and this was the immediate finale, instead of a wait for an episode opener that concludes everything in the way a season finale should have anyway, especially since the rest of the season didn't need the episode as it's first. It's a decent enough episode that is tarnished by the fact that it sticks out like a sore thumb. Conclusion! Decent episode that definitely should have been a finale, cause geez does it not work as a season opener. I still think the shows great it's just a strange choice.
Anticlimactic

There was so much build-up to this episode. Basically all of the first two seasons were leading here and the season 2 finale was an epic cliff hanger. The payoff felt really small after the journey we took to get to this point.
Very very bad
