World Makers’ Deceit 2 is getting a Halloween makeover for its first post-launch event. Starting today until Monday, November 6, players can complete tasks to earn candy and redeem limited-edition cosmetic skins. According to the developers, the Halloween update serves as “the first step” in improving Deceit 2‘s gameplay experience and ensuring the game is accessible to more people.
“While our Halloween event might look sweet on the outside, the Game Master never shies away from the true intent of his Ritual of Deceit,” said James Thompson, CEO, World Makers. “While our launch was not what we originally envisioned, we’re focused on providing quality-of-life improvements and addressing feedback to provide the best gameplay experience for our community. Players will start to see these changes in our first post-launch event, which pays tribute to All Hallows Eve and the terrors that lurk in the shadows.”

As the launch trailer proclaims, World Makers’ horror social deduction title Deceit 2 is here! Out today on Steam, the game will be coming soon to PlayStation and Xbox with full crossplay compatibility between PC and console players.
“We wanted to expand the narrative threads for Deceit 2 and reintroduce the Game Master’s lore because without the Game Master, there is no Deceit universe,” said James Thompson, CEO, World Makers. “The team had to create a special kind of energy to craft experiences that tap into these Eldritch horrors and redefine what our game and the social deduction genre can be. Our demented hope is to leave players running and screaming but also coming back for more.”
Just in case you missed the Fear Fest trailer, Deceit 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2017 original, and divides players into two groups: Innocent and Infected. In a race against time, players must...

Sky and London’s Tottenham Hotspur, featured in the 2020 edition of Amazon Prime Video’s hit “All or Nothing” documentary series, will work together to make the club’s Sept. 19 fixture against London rivals Chelsea Football Club the world’s first net zero carbon major soccer match, ahead of next month’s Un COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.
The match, supported by COP26 and the English Premier League (Epl), is being branded as #GameZero. To achieve the goal of net zero carbon, the organizations will reduce on-site emissions as much as possible and offset remaining emissions through off-site projects which remove carbon from the atmosphere.
Measures to be taken by Sky and Tottenham include minimizing emissions from matchday activities such as energy used to power the game, travel to and from the stadium for both fans and clubs, and dietary choices inside the new world class stadium.

To celebrate the release of Deceit, the new thriller mini-series from Channel 4, we sat down with Nathaniel Martello-White – one of the co-stars of the series – to find out bringing this notorious story to the screen.
Based on the real-life story, Deceit examines the controversial honeytrap – codename “Operation Edzell” – at the heart of the high-pressure investigation into the devastating murder of Rachel Nickell, a young mother brutally attacked in front of her two-year-old son on Wimbledon Common in London in 1992. Niamh Algar stars as the lead detective thrust into the honeytrap to try and seduce the prime suspect into admitting his guilt.
Martello-White, who appeared in Collateral opposite Carey Mulligan and Steve McQueen’s Mangrove, plays Baz, the handler of Algar’s character as he ruthlessly primes her for the task she is facing and the repercussions if she and the detective force fails. He tells about the process of getting into character,...
