- People with fear of rats may not like this film very much, as the majority of the first half of the film centers around the town Hamlin being plagued by a horde of rats. But it's all animated.
- There is nothing intense or frightening in the film itself, as this cartoon film is suitable for children.

- Several people chase the Pied Piper trying to attack him, but the Pied Piper has proven to be too fast for the people.
- The Pied Piper lures a horde of rats into running river, and kicks the last rats into the river.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The Pied Piper may scare some younger children, mostly during the scene in which he uses his wooden flute to lure a group of hypnotised children into an unknown place in the forest. Their parents are shown to be sad for what's happened, but it gets better later.
