- The head of the Presbylutheranism denomination tells Reverend Lovejoy that due to a lapsed ministerial certification various ceremonies he performed are invalid. This affects Homer and Marge, who turn out not to be remarried. Homer vows to give Marge the perfect wedding he did not give her either of the first two times they got married. Marge is thrilled to be able to plan her dream wedding, but it is not long before she turns into a Bridezilla, shooting down all of Homers ideas and mowing down everyone who gets in her way. The day of the wedding finally arrives, and everything is perfect except for one small detailHomer is missing.
At first it appears that Marge has driven him away, but Bart and Lisa stumble on a clue that leads them to believe their father was kidnapped: a keychain in the shape of the initials "S.B." They suspect that Sideshow Bob kidnapped Homer, but he turns out to be innocent. That was because he was preparing for a bust for Krusty the Clown.
Bob leads them to the true SB: their aunts, Patty and Selma Bouvier, who kidnapped Homer to prevent the re-marriage. They have been holding Homer hostage in a cell and torturing him. They are finally convinced to let Homer go after they hear the vows he had planned on reciting to Marge at the marriage. Just as they are preparing to release him, Lisa and Bart catch up to their aunts, and threaten to tell their mother about the kidnapping unless they pay for Marge and Homers remarriage ceremony.
