- Beginning of the journey in Strasbourg: Ismaël explains that he will go from village to village in Alsace.First stop at Eguisheim: he meets Mthieu Glinginger, a winemaker who just will deliver bottles of wine to two restaurants.Then they go to Mathieu's half-timbered house: Stéphanie Glinginger, his wife takes care for the guesthouse.On the morning Mathieu and Ismaël meets Franck Roesch, the "King of the Pretzel" who shows them how he makes the pretzel.Later Mathieu and Ismaël goes the Saint Leon place : Bruno from Eguisheim became the Pope Leon IX (1049-1054).They they visit the vineyard (14 hectares divided in 53 parcels): they taste the grapes of Gewurztraminer (an organic production) and they have a picnic with the family of Mathieu: pretzel, gugelhupf, bread and "foie gras" and white wine.Next stop: the castle of Haut Koenigsbourg: Jean Grineisen, his guide,explains him the story of the castle built in the 12th century by nobles of the Holy Roman Empire: 500.000-550.000 visitors each year.They enjoy the panorama: villages, forests, vineyards.Next stop Kaysersberg: Ismaël meets Olivier Nasti (Michelin star) : they walk through the village and go the forest to pick up juniper and blueberry: then Olivier prepares for Ismaël deer meat with a honey, juniper and blueberry sauce.Next stop: Stosswhir in the Valley of Munster: Ismaël has a gift for Sébastien and Christelle Sissler, a gugelhupf (cake traditionally baked in a distinctive ring pan), they celebrate 20 years of marriage in a traditional Alsatian dress of the 1930 : in the church they are now the broom and the bride of Frankental (a tradition of Kaysersberg): there is celebration with dances, Alsatian food in which young and older persons participate.Next stop: Ismaël meets Christian Brüls and they walk with two lamas to the mountain village of Blancherupt (35 inhabitants), Christian has a little herd of lamas and organizes walks in the region with the lamas.Then Ismaël goes to the island of Rhinau ( 10 kilometers long and a area of 375 hectares), now nature reserve,he meets Thierry Walter and they make a boat tour on the small canals and see swans, migratory birds and frogs.Then they cross the Rhine River on a ferry and go by bike to the Europa Park where Thierry is working (a great amusement park with 5-6 millions of visitors each year) and they have a trip on the roller coaster. Besides we see zooms about the village of Mussig (a nice place with many flowers), about Delphine and Aymeric who have restored a half-timbered house, about the "Groupe d'Art populaire", about the hot air balloon tours over the vineyard of the Alsatia, about the bike tours of Glenn Ford and the tasting of Alsatian wines, about the storks in Alsatia and the little owls in Alsatia, about the festival of the sauerkraut in Geispolsheim, about the "Ecomusée d'Alsace", about the Alsatian craftsmen, and about Ungersheim (the horse-drawn carriage as school transport, the solar panels and the organic farm for the school restaurant).—zutterjp48
