Brilliant, humourous and thought provoking.

I was able to watch this film at Birmingham Odeon and it was a brilliant piece of cinema. The film had emotion, humour, tension and wisdom all in one.

The cast all worked well together and the story was written and directed very well. I literally have no criticisms. I think the only thing I would say is the runtime could've been a bit shorter, but as the extra segments added to the overall film, it's not something that would be a major issue for me.

Definitely would watch again and it's a film all communities need to watch, not just the black community only.

Wow, wow, wow. What an amazing and powerful film. I've watched this film 3 times already with friends and family and I can't get enough. Well done to all the cast and crew for pulling this off you done an amazing job. Love it!! Birmingham talent yes well done ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ Everyone was amazing. Love jackie who is played by Beverly she's hilarious. Bianca's who was played by Llewela omg her acting was really good too, I mean I literally felt it for her, it was like I was watching real life stories. Cassius is so funny and great to watch, Rico is funny but a love/hate character lol janine played by sade and her sister Justin played by misha their sister duo dynamic was funny great acting guys and tye. Loved janine and tye together you could see the love in her eyes, all the children did really well great acting guys a big well done and Julian brother so adorable don't get me started on Julian aka Christian jae I could write a whole essay on his acting and performance. Wow what an amazing actor he is. I just want to say Julian pulled it out the bag I believed in his acting it felt real and relatable when he was angry I was angry when he cried I cried I felt real emotion and his acting was so flawless. I ended up crying at the end seeing him cry and make up with Rico. Very touching and powerful. Highly recommend everyone to watch this film. Its very relatable to young boys, men, young women just everyone. Not to be missed. Keep up the great work guys I really hope and pray big things come from this for you all. Overall great film and great acting.

Warning: Spoilers
I am not one to sit through a whole film. However this film is amazing. The way it educates the youth of today while being funny is fantastic! At the end of the film, you can really feel the emotion which the characters feel. The storyline with Julian hits me the most. The way he goes from a bad boy,to settling down with his girl, then back to his devious ways is set up great. These are a bunch of great actors who deserve everything๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸพCannot wait to watch again and again x.

Profound, passionate and authentic.

The Tale of the Fatherless is a profound yet heart racing film that centres around fatherlessness in the Midlands.

Aside from the many positives that surround the film, a special mention must go to the acting and scriptwriting of the film.

Stefan Davis (director and actor in the production) plays a fantastic part in depicting troubled protagonist, Tyrell. Davis acts with passion and integrity, and his performance is certainly a highlight of the film.

Parallel to this, the screenplay written by Sade Davis and Misha Elliot is a true testament to the overall message of the film. Not only do they depict issues of fatherlessness in an authentic and thought provoking way, the additional themes of race and religion shine through the script and are heard throughout the film.

The Tale of the Fatherless is a rather rare example of authentic filmmaking, and despite what may seem, it is a film with soul, unity, and family at the heart of it.

Went to watch it on Father's Day!

An important statement on our time. A thoroughly enjoyable watch with some excellent debut performances.

The responsibility to 'father' the 'fatherless' falls on us all

To those in the know Jonathan Jackson (Pastor Reid)was not acting when the young man came to dinner! Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ Great to see local talent being given a platform and looking forward to see more from G. A. P.

Well done to everybody involved.

Well worth a watch!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I would highly recommend The Tale of the Fatherless to anyone who loves a great storyline and a gripping watch. The film gave a great insight into what's it's like for so many young people, growing up without a stable father figure and role model in their lives, and how there is a positive way out that doesn't have to result in violence. I was on the edge of my seat for most of it! The comedic element was also brilliant. Give it a go if you haven't already...you won't be disappointed๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜

Powerful, thought-provoking, tear-jerker.

The film was nominated for Best film at the British Urban film festival for a reason. Simply brilliant! Authentic, creative and thought-provoking with some stand-out performances. The film brings some real deep topics to the surface but embraces the trauma with love, understanding and hope.

No surprise to witness great performances from Stefan Davis (Tyrell) and Andre Hesson (Cassius) but I was left wanting to see a lot more from Llewela Bailey (Bianca), her debut performance on the big screen was amazing, really convincing and took us on a journey of emotions and I know a lot of young women can relate to her character. Beverley (Jackie) and Leighta (Kyla) were hilarious. The whole cast were brilliant and an inspiration to our community.

Sade. Mica and Stefan deserve every success!
