The Crash
Hitchcoc26 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is the episode we knew was coming. The relationship between Dodi Fayad and Diana is awkward and rather sad. His father has them married and living happily ever after. Dodi is a coward in many ways and thinks if he offers riches, she might condescend to marry him. She has had too much of the tabloids and realizes exactly what is going on. The paparazzi are portrayed as monsters (which most of them are, without any regard for the humanity of their subjects). It makes ones skin crawl to watch her walk to a car or go to any public place. When they decide to go to her place, it is unnecessary, but he has proposed and the hotel becomes an embarrassment. The accident, if you will, puts and end to a person who didn't deserve all this. Well done.

Still so sad, after all these years😥

Diana tragically died August 31st 1997, but still the heartbreaking memories still linger, she touched so many people as was shown at the Castle in London, the waves of emotion that gripped the world had the same impact ,when John Lennon was tragically killed! This episode, while some what flawed still shows the level of what she faced in her final hours, I can still remember how terrible the paparazzi was to her, even That snake Mohamed Al-Fayed, only was using her to get into the upperclass British society, something he craved!

Seriously though Diana was a tragic figure throughout her life as she married way too young into a family not known for being warm or having any empathy, very rigid even aloof! But even more so to Diana by her husband who carried on his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles something he never hid? As everyone knew this even poor Diana, she was so tragic her whole life and whether she was at fault no longer matters because of her passing May she rest in peace 💔😥

Inaccurate, dishonest

Warning: Spoilers
I will start by saying I am a fan of this show. I have enjoyed it so far and I really like the choice of actors for Diana and Dodi's characters.

Maybe because I like the show so much I am very disappointed.

This episode as well as the previous one show how Mohammed Fayed is putting pressure on Dodi to date Diana, and to propose to her, because he's obsessed with getting close to the Royal family.

Everything that you see on this episode apparently is a result of Fayed's obsession. He is the one who calls the paparazzi who later cause the accident where both Lady Diana and Dodi die tragically.

Well, it turns out there is no evidence Mohammed Fayed did such thing, and according to Brenna, the paparazzi who took the picture of them kissing, it is not true and it's absolutely ridiculous that The Crown shows it was Dodi's father who informed him to go take those shots.

I am particularly disgusted and annoyed because anyone watching these episodes will think, like I did, that Mohammed Fayed was a disgusting father and was partially responsible for Dodi's and Lady Di's accident.

It turns out none of this is true. I feel deceived.

Well, I understand that this is a fictional show, it's based on a true story, and I think the creators should be careful with the concessions they make. I find it extremely disrespectful towards Dodi's father.

I am not sure if I will keep watching after this disappointment.

Part three of Diana's personal mini-series
dierregi2 December 2023
Since the first four episodes of season 6 are mainly about the last weeks of Diana, I think they stand as a separate mini-series, titled The Most Beloved, in which the worn tale of the (ex) Princess's last days is told from the point of view of extreme manipulation.

Once more, one is left wondering why a woman who had the chance to vacation anywhere in the world, in top security, top class, and top privacy, chose instead to run around the Cote d'Azur with a trail of paparazzi and even worse, to run from one Paris location to the other, instead of doing what was perhaps more logical, namely stay in the Ritz suite, get your luxury room-service dinner and your stuff brought over from wherever you left it.

On the other hand, Dodi's untimely proposal and Diana's rebuttal sound convincing, as one would hope she had enough sense to see a summer flirt for what it was, contrary to the meddling of Dodi's father. As usual, Debicki is great as Diana, but the plot is a bit sappy.

What a shame
Carlybabes-hot-in-putnoe6 February 2024
After so many years of superb quality, it all falls down to a low budget badly scripted season 6. Especially episode 3. It is so contrived. It is so wildly irritating. It is such a shame to blow a persons memories of this quality series. Shame on the writers, producers, directors. Shame on Netflix for ruining a quality project, with this low end derived rubbish ! So disappointed.
