One of a Kind
Hitchcoc2 October 2021
Sheldon is flattered when a very bright grad student comes on to him. We find out her selfish motivation later, but what takes place is quite hilarious. He is perfectly willing to yet this young woman do everything for him while he works on his theories. What she doesn't realize is that he's Sheldon Cooper and what goes with that. Eventually, the universe is going to come undone.

The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem was another hilarious episode of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm17 March 2009
In this episode, Sheldon-after lecturing some new students about how dreary their futures will be-gets a new admirer named Romona to do his bidding. While Sheldon's ego is indeed stoked, she threatens to be a "Yoko Ono" (as illustrated by a song with that name playing as score). How he gets rid of his "stalker", I won't reveal here. I will say Sheldon doesn't learn his lesson...Another hilarious episode of "The Big Bang Theory" this was! Particularly funny was when Penny asked, "What's Sheldon's deal?" and the theories thought up by Howard and Leonard with Howard's a WTF moment at the end! Also dig the couple of times Penny says, "Holy crap on a cracker!" Or Leslie referring to Sheldon as "dumbass"!

I liked these early days of the show, when it was more about the dynamic between Penny/Sheldon and Leonard.

This was another fun and funny episode of the show, with some great moments.

I enjoyed it.

The Big Bang Theory - The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem"

Warning: Spoilers
The Big Bang Theory is a show based on the life of four very witty and smart guys and their beautiful neighbor. The show was created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and directed by Mark Cendrowski.

It is based on the five main characters two roommates that work for the California Institute of Technology as physicists. The third character is Kaley Cuoco who plays their very beautiful neighbor Penny who lives across the hall. Who of coarse like many beautiful woman in California, is a waitress/bartender who moved from the Midwest to pursue an acting career. The fourth character is Howard Wolowitz a co-worker of Sheldon and Leonard and an aerospace engineer, played by Simon Helberg. The fifth character is Rajesh Koothrappali who is a particle astrophysicist who works for Caltech played by Kunal Nayyar. The geekiness and intellect of the four guys is perfectly balanced for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense.

I watched the sixth episode of the second season titled "The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem" the original air date was November 3rd of 2008. A female student of doctor cooper named Ramona Nowitzki played by Riki Lindhome becomes infatuated with Dr. Cooper and quickly begins to spend a lot of time with him. She very mean and controlling of him and won't let him hang out with his friends or participate in his normal life activities. As the clever background song states she pretty much becomes his Yoko Ono. It all comes to an end when she thinks she deserves credit for a theory Dr. Cooper came up with and he tells her to get out.

All scenes were shot indoors, with quick transitions between characters. The nucleus, electrons, protons, and valance shell provide visual effects as the transitions between scenes. You are always visually stimulated in some way, especially when Kaley Cuoco is on the screen.

The Big Bang Theory is a very witty but seemingly very easy to get humor. I just recently started watching, because i never thought I would like a "nerdy" show. Now I love the show. I would recommend everyone to to at least watch a few, just to see if you will enjoy it as much as I do.

The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem (#2.6)

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode we have Sheldon dealing with an admiring graduate student and of course it is great comedy. I love how in the beginning everyone was curious about what it will be. and then how she didn't let him have any fun anymore and he was trying hard to end this. Him coming to Penny for help was a great scene. And Leonard's dream at the end was also a fun idea

Great episode!

Warning: Spoilers
The premise of this episode is inherently funny: how a woman could be so infatuated with an emotionally aloof character who isn't particularly attractive physically. In Sheldon's case, he's totally unaware of that, which adds to the humor. I think Gene Roddenberry wrote someplace that he knew enough about women to realize some of them would be attracted to Spock.

Another bit of comedy is having the other guys looking on in disbelief and confusion. Often the funniest part of an absurd situation isn't the situation, but others' reaction to it.

Naturally, as the situation develops, Ramona tries to keep Sheldon focused on his project, but Sheldon doesn't like being on the short leash and panics a bit.

Sheldon immediately dismisses Ramona when she asks to share credit, which for him is way over the line. We all knew he'd do this, but it was extreme enough to be funny.

Finally, the pinky swear when Ramona jealously and insincerely asks Penny to be "sisters" is revealed a few minutes later as a setup for the punch line when Ramona exits, hurt and angry: Penny extends her pinky and asks "sisters?" The pinky could also be interpreted as a small version of the middle finger!

I *love* setup jokes like that, and it was very well done.
