Sex & Nudity

  • Pornographic magazines are briefly shown in a shot, and the leader Sobel mentions it as well. The pornographic magazines show very revealing women with cleavage on them.
  • A man briefly mentions and jokes that he and Easy Company need some "female company"
  • Some shirtless men and cleavage could be possibly shown throughout this episode.
  • A man jokes around about "naked native girls", and that they "bite". This may be a sexual term too in this film.

Violence & Gore

  • There are only a few, about three, training scenes, two of them are the soldiers going up the hill Currahee Mountain, one is them working out in the yard doing jumping jacks and other productive, more stimulated exercises.
  • A few brief moments involve different kinds of guns in attempted battles, but no shooting or explosions depicted in the scenes. There is no battle or shooting/explosions in the whole entire episode itself.
  • Many soldiers roll in pig guts; there are several graphic shots glimpsed of graphic pig parts/guts, and some blood is shown in the disturbing, but brief, training scene.
  • There are many mild but heated arguments, with some yelling at others during moments of frustration and near-constant swearing by both soldiers and adult leaders.
  • A man is mentioned to have been killed in Monte Cassino, there are brief moments of grief.
  • There is a very brief but intense and heated fistfight between two soldiers when one taunts the another; a few scuffling moments and punching in the scene too. However, the fight is broken up VERY QUICKLY before any other scuffles start up. (for taunting and swearing, check the Profanity section). This interferes with the Profanity section.

Profanity

  • Lots of heated, conversational swearing, however, all-accurate for the time. It is near-constant and starts right from the beginning of the episode/film. (It is, overall, 1 hour and 13 minutes long.)
  • About 5 "f" words are used, one is paired with a religious exclamation.
  • Frequent usage of "sh**" "damn (also paired with God)" "Chr**t (paired with Almighty twice/three times) "ass" "hell" "son of a bitch" and several other swear words are used all accurately and in a VERY conversational way, mostly spoken by soldiers.
  • A few racial slurs, all spoken about Jewish people, all involving the word "Jew" and "son of Abraham". Both said in one fighting scene (check the Violence & Gore section for more info).
  • Moderate swearing throughout the film

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some brief, but mild instances of smoking and drinking scenes.
  • One celebratory drinking scene is shown with a few drinks being served in a brief moment.
  • Smokes are also mentioned and joked about/jokingly referenced by soldiers AND adults.
  • Cigarettes are smoked by many soldiers throughout the 1-hour-13-minutes episode.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The lack of respect, consistent training, and near-attacks burden the episode/film with some mild scenes of violence. Mostly frightening moments too.
  • The pig guts scene may be very frightening and graphic for certain people.

Profanity

  • Though not hardcore R, the swearing is enough to cost an R rating, and for some, even a PG-13, though it would really push the boundaries, being the five "F" words really would push to an R rating.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Though not too intense and frightening, the training and event moments may be VERY intense and disturbing for certain viewers who don't appreciate military training scenes in these kinds of episodes in miniseries' like Band of Brothers.
  • The ending is mildly suspenseful, since it opens up to the start of a D-Day attack.
  • Some very heated scenes of arguing and a few mildly sad/depressing moments for certain viewers.
